" Nice hotel, HARD sleeping bed"
Worst bed EVER I think my family and I were sleeping on a box spring instead of a bed. I was scared to get underneath the covers I wouldn't want to visit that hotel ever again in life. But the kids enjoyed the water park at least.

"OK for a place to sleep"
The hotel is NOT in Puerto Juarez, but in Cancun near the junction of Avenida Tulum and Avenida Chichen Itza making it about 1.5 miles from the ferry and .5 as stated. The accommodations were sparse, having only one sheet and a bed spread. Two sheets would let a person believe he was the first person using the bed spread. I had the same towel for the entire week, so it was always damp.

"Pretty rooms with mediocre service"
We stayed at the hotel for a full week between Christmas and New Year. The room was more like a suite with a fully equipped kitchen, dining table, couch, 2 balconies, se1parate bedroom and a beautiful ocean view. We really liked it. However, the cleaning service was somewhat inconsistent. The room wasn't made up twice and we got fresh towels only once. The restaurant on the premises that serves breakfast isn't frequented much and doesn't post opening hours. The food was good but we had trouble getting attention from the restaurant owners. Both the hotel and restaurant could easily be improved by better service.

"Great economical accommodations"
This is a good place to stay at if your primary concern is price. For about 20 bucks a night you get a good-sized two bed cabana (cabin) with AC. And that's about it. They also have tenting camp sites, trailer/camper sites with hookup and single bed cabins. It also comes with a small but decent swimming pool. Free WiFi is also included, but service very slow evenings. The cabin condition, except for the AC, is pretty rustic. Tight washroom and shower. No hot water. Occasional insects. At dusk the campsite is infested with mosquitoes, so not very comfortable then. Though, inside the cabana, the mosquitoes were not a problem for us. There is a restaurant "The Rice" on site which prepares some pretty basic food with average price. There is a small corner store a five minute walk north of the campground and a bigger OXXO store about 15 min. south. I wouldn't use the local beach. Not much else to see there except the El Meco Mayan ruins next to the camp ground, and which are part of the campground itself. We used the campground as a staging ground for trips in the Cancun area and the Mayan Riviera. For that it was quite adequate. Most tour companies provide hotel pick-up, but not to the Mecoloco Inn / campground. for about 8-10 pesos you can take a minibus to the nearest pickup place at the Ultramar Ferry terminal.

"Wonderful Cheap Vacations"
I really enjoyed staying a Mayambe private beach house, I got the smallest cheapest room for one person with no a/c for $201 US Dollars, all charges and taxes included, for 6 days. With the windows open and fan it was fresh and pleasant to sleep, plus the owner let me stayed in another room with a/c for two nights, at no extra charge, while it was vacant. Upon arrival I called the owner from the airport and he waited for me when I arrived around 11 pm. I loved using the public transportation [SUVs "Peseras"] that stop right in front of the house and would take me to different locations up to downtown Cancun and the bus terminal ADO for $8.50 MX Pesos [$0.48 US]. From there I would take R-1 bus to the tourist and hotel areas for $10 MX Pesos [$0.57 US]. I spent most of the day in beautiful public beaches like Playa Tortugas, Delfines, Caracol and Isla Mujeres, where I would drink and eat all day for about $30-50 US Dollars, except the last night at Isla Mujeres where I had two bottles of Champaign and lobster. I took the ferry to Isla Mujeres from their terminal at Puerto Juarez, about 5 minutes in Pesera from the house for $140 MX Pesos round trip [$8.0 US], which departing from other locations in same boat costs about $19 US Dollars. On the way back to the airport I took the Pesera to the ADO bus terminal for $8.50 pesos, then an ADO bus to the airport for $70 pesos, a taxi may cost up to $900 MX Pesos x same. Overall I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to return.
