This hotel is for sophisticated grown-ups not for college spring breakers.
The beach is beautiful and peaceful and the water is clean and turquoise color.
All the staffs are friendly and helpful, the room is almost like 5 star hotel.
There is different theme of entertainment every night and restaurants are excellent.
I would come back in a heartbeat.

We went with our daughter and two grandchildren. The children loved the water park and the kids club. This was managed very well and they were eager to go to the programs.
Rooms and resort very well maintained. We had a couple of minor issues and someone would be up in less than 15 min with a follow up call soon after from the desk to make sure everything was ok.
Food was excellent. Love the French restaurant. My only note would be that the Tapas and Tinto was one I could have skipped.
We have been to multiple all inclusive resorts (~ 10) in the past and would rate this one highly

The Riu Palace Las America’s is a beautiful resort. The junior suites are really nice and spacious. We had a corner room, ocean front and the view was amazing.
The staff is super friendly and attentive. Bartenders, food servers, and the people serving drinks at the pool and beach were all peasant and attentive. The activities people and the folks at the front desk were realky friendly too.
We loved the adults only experience too. We met people from the U.K., Canada, and many parts of the USA.

A little more like a private hostel than hotel, we stayed two nights immediately following four nights at a nearby all-inclusive resort. We both enjoyed out stay in the heart of downtown Isla Mujeres much more than being snared at the isolated all-inclusive joint far from the action. The hotel owner and proprietor, Banano, was super chill and also runs a restaurant and small bar on the first floor.
Our 2nd-floor King/balcony room was spacious and clean, with new EVERYTHING since the hotel has only been renovated and opened about two months earlier. New paint, new lighting, new decorations, new doors and windows, new furniture. The big bed was comfortable with nice appointments. The bathroom was tiny, but clean, and has a nice new glass shower with actual water pressure and actual hot water (let it run for a minute).
A 3rd-floor rooftop common space overlooking the street was an added bonus, especially when Banano, the previous night's live band and a few other guests all gathered one late morning for some coffee and beer to get the day started properly.
*** Be aware of the following... ***
- They accept cash only once you arrive and can't charge your room to a card. No big deal.
- The bar on the 1st floor stays open until 2am. Both nights had live music followed by dance music. Cool!
- The street in front is closed to traffic and has a TON of great food nearby. Lola Valentino's across the street is excellent!
