We had a fantastic time! Our kids loved the resort as much as we did. There was always something to do for both adults and children. Kids club staff worked so well with our 9 year and 2 year old. They loved seeing the animals and having different choices of things to do each day. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

The hotels was great in general. I stayed on the top floor of the original building, and the view was just gob smacking. Food was great. The only down side was that I could only reserve restaurants (other than the buffet) in person at a specifically designated time and space. Albeit the inconvenience, the food was great at the restaurants. The overall experience was great, considering the price.

I would like everything about this hotel but for the price it already charged the management should add few more free services such as free wifi in guest rooms, complimentary buffet breakfast served...etc ..other than that, it's a great place to be.

The room was very clean and spacious. We had room#2, next to the restaurant on the second floor (see pic below). The front desk lady said this room was the only ocean view room with an A/C. Some palm trees were in the way of the "ocean view" but nevertheless, you are beachfront with a lovely hammock to lay on right on your front porch. They have beds out in front of the beach that you can layout on. We had read that Ana y Jose (hotel) is a sister hotel to Hip Hotel Tulum so we decided to walk there and have breakfast one morning, which was exceptional. We recommend the breakfast at Ana y Jose and it's free of charge since its a sister hotel. Overall our experience was great, we even had the fortune of seeing a sea turtle while walking the beach at moonlight. We will definitely stay at Hip Hotel the next time we are in Tulum.

There is no beach at all so pool only and it closes at 8pm. Pool bar closes at 6pm and restaurant on pool level. The food is ok but we found ourselves eating downtown for the flavor. We rented a car and saved a lot of money on driving to excursion spots. Hotels along beach offer a lot to do and see besides downtown. Don't be afraid of the iguanas they run away and are everywhere.

The Staff were nice and the location is great but don't go in the summer and expect a good beach experience, yikes. The were piles and piles of seaweed all over the beaches in Tulum at this time of year. The hotel pool is a joke, It is about 3 times the size of my bathtub, not very good. The waiters in the restaurant were excellent at making you wait, good if you have a lot of time, bad if you have something to do.
