"Beautiful hotel, exceptional staff with excellent."
From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a cold peppermint towel and cold drink. For the entire week the friendly staff never let me down. The resort is beautiful with a gorgeous view from my room of the sea. The food was delicious, especially room service. My only complaint would be the other guests. Most were self righteous ignorant people. They treated the staff like they were nobody's. I was in aww.

The only dissatisfaction was that after 11pm all shut down. Not much to do once the show is over. The sports bar was not very exciting. The property is very big and beautiful, one would expect a nightclub or a fun place to dance at night. Other than that, the restaurants were very good.

"Small Resort, amazing beach. Construction annoying"
Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Pros: our concierge Gerardo did all he could to accommodate every request. Daniel at the pool was always there to set you up on the beach with towels and sun covers. The food was wonderful, we only had one buffet that we weren't fond of but you're always full so can't complain. The resort is a very nice size so the walk to the beach is short.
Cons: The construction was really hard to listen to after a few days and we didn't get to go to the dinner theatre because of it which was one thing I looked forward to. Music was only by the pools which left you only listening to drills hammers etc. Service was slow on the beach at times but the servers are oh so friendly. Zero nightlife so it was a relaxing vacation versus entertaining. The food was the entertainment since the meals were about 2 hours long.

The facilities were nice enough and well-kept. Everything was clean and we had no real complaints about the room. The only issue we had was with the door lock, but the front desk sent a maintenance person out very quickly to repair.
The hotel grounds are beautiful with well-kept gardens, nice mangroves and many cenotes. The night shows were really well-done. We were worried that it would be too much walking when we discovered our room was behind the lobby, but it actually wasn't an issue at all. For as large as the property is, getting around is quite easy.
The only real complaint is with the beach. The water was basically unusable as the sand has all been washed away and it's a mix of rock and coral now. Also the staff seemed to only rake the beach twice during our stay, so there was usually a lot of garbage and seaweed washed up on shore.

We had a short but very enjoyable time. We had a seminar further up the peninsula scheduled for later in the week. We came early and stayed here. We loved it, perhaps preferred it to the Sheraton (where the seminar was). The location was so convenient to the marina to fish, the arch, food off the resort. All around a great place to stay at a great value
