The experience was definitely unique. We had requested a room with ocean view. The room was great. But the bathroom ceiling started leaking on the first night. We reported it and were told we will be assigned a new room in a couple of hours since another room with ocean view had to be prepared. We told that we will move our luggage to the new room after it is assigned. But when we came back to the old room after having lunch, our luggage was already moved to the new room. We didn’t think much of it. Rest of the stay was good.
Fast forward to our return day. My husband found that his debit card was missing from his wallet. The bank reported an unauthorized transaction of 500$ on the card. So he called them to block the card. We usually keep track of luggage like a hawk. Even while having housekeeping we coordinate and try not to leave our luggage unattended. This time we didn’t even set foot outside the resort. The only time this could have happened was when the luggage was moved without our knowledge. So disappointing. If the bank wouldn’t have caught the unauthorized transaction, the thief might have gone on a shopping spree.
