Chinatown is literally in front of the hotel. Great spot for food. You can also stroll down Ste-Catherine which is 2 streets behind for shopping and dining.
Room was very clean and staff was extremely helpful.

Nice European style hotel. Still working on finishing the renovation but was still very quiet. Breakfast was disappointing. Don't know if it is the norm or if the construction impacted offerings. But at least the latte machine was always working!
Room had a mild concrete/drywall construction odor. Smelled freshly painted/poured concrete. Having fixed TV on wall opposite bed meant you could not watch TV from the sofa/chairs in the room. Hard flooring surfaces meant no vacuums used by housekeeping. They damp mop the floors so a nice plus is a quiet morning if you wanted to sleep in. Very convenient to convention center, old Montreal, etc. Having Apple/Mac computer in the room a nice touch, except I am a Windows/PC person so it was awkward to use.

"Nice Hotel within walking distance of everything!"
The Hotel Swann is a perfectly fine place to stay. Our room was good and had most of the amenities it should have. Perhaps a bit pricey, particularly considering the lack of options provided in the complementary breakfast buffet.

We were pleasantly surprised to find such a great hotel at such a reasonable rate for a large city. The rooms were clean, spacious and well laid out. The staff was professional, courteous, and eager to assist us with requests. The hotel was bright, clean, nicely furnished with extra services (parking, meals, etc.) at a reasonable charge and located a short walk to major attractions.

My boyfriend and I stay here for 4 nights and we had no problems. Check in was a little slow but other than that I would definitely recommend this hotel and I will be visiting again in the near future.

Visiting canada for the first time I tried to get a hotel close to my venue for a concert which was the bell centre. It was a 25 minute cab ride which was smooth. And upon entering your immediately met with a fireplace and a lounge area and a cafe and a sprawling lobby. The concierge to the left and main reception dead ahead everyone is polite and informative and patient. The view is nice for a new yorker it's like Manhattan but with a bit less smog (joking).the only complaint is have is that they charge 25 dollars for the fridge and using a microwave. But if you can get past that the rest is just too good you'll have a huge bathroom a walk in closet several outlets for charging and depending on your rate free WiFi hell they even have a pool and gym so you'll have something to do not matter what. TV is limited unless you are familiar with French or the channels but there are always movies to order and other activities :)

Most of the city's museums, corporate headquarters, and department stores can be found in downtown Montreal. Crescent Street draws party-goers to its restaurants, bars, and night clubs. Mount Royal Park features the 30m-high (98-foot) steel cross visible across Montreal and illuminated each night. Hockey fans flock to the Bell Centre, home of the Montreal Canadiens.
