We went to cancun for the first time as a single couple and decided not to do a all inclusive resort. We wanted to find something fairly flexible in price and we landed on Suits of Melecon! The view is ok (constructioning) but the suit for the price per day was absolutely worth the bargain then getting an small room on the ocean side for far more expensive. There's a mall connected to our hotel and you can get anything from liquor, food, or even grocerys which makes it very conveinient on our stay. Instead of staying in one hotel zone we decided to get a car and roam all over cancun for the best authentic Mexican restruraunt!

If you are looking to save money, have a decent and clean place to stay, this may be the place for you.
Pros: clean, two bedrooms, one king size bed, two beds in the second room. There is full kitchen with stove and they provided clean water in a bottle! There is a nice patio in the back with chairs. We stayed at apartment #1. it is a small building in downtown off from the hotel zone.
Cons: building is not marked as a hotel. It looks like a house so it is hard to find. The breakfast is not rea breakfast. They give you a bag of bread, jelly, and a bottle of orange juice. The coffee maker wasn't working for us. However, right across the street, you can get really yummy breakfast for cheap. Definitely try Casa de abuellas. They have amazing pastries.
Also, it is a bit outside of the main turns tic area. You can take the bus to the terminals or downtown, or the beach. It was quite the experience taking buses with the locals.
Overall, I reccomend this place and will come back for stay with them again. It is a family owned place, the owner is friendly (fluent English), and the place is worth the price

Very comfortable hotel but with little frills. For travels on a budget and need a central location, you can't ask for anything better. The reception staff was very helpful, even showing me my room and how to use the a/c. The restaurant smelled good but the hours are limited till 2pm so I didn't get a chance to eat there because I had a tight morning schedule. Nevertheless, the reception recommended a very good Mexican restaurant close by.

We were well treated, and the room was comfortable and quiet. The room was clean but the air conditioning smelled musty. We didn't use the pool, but it looked like a great place for kids and families. We expected the price of the breakfast to be included but there was an extra charge for it. Two small bottles of water were left in the room daily, but there was no other water for drinking that I saw, not even on the buffet table.

Well, where to start? Ok, so it was a cheap week away and I'd spent literally nothing on my stay there compared to what it really costs in the hotel zone. To be fair it doesn't have half of the facilities those branded ones do. But (and it's a big but). Everything is literally on your doorstep. Don't be scared of the area, it may look rough but the people are all friendly. I walked the whole of Cancun for 7 days and not once had any problems. This may just be the Mexican people IDK. But it's Mexico, not the UK. Or even halfway between. If you look for trouble you will find it. I didn't want any so I guess I didn't find any. I cannot guarantee your safety with this statement however, but as a single guy who was obviously a tourist who didn't speak the language (at all!). I had no problems.
The hotel itself looks fab inside. It has a pool, hot tub an amazing rooftop platform. The rooms look nice, clean (and I mean very clean!). They lack fridges which would be my only gripe, but it's hardly a chore to get refreshments. Breakfast was simple but very nice. Traditional...you are in Mexico remember, not the USA or the UK. Enjoy your stay here if you go. If you're looking for friendly staff and a safe place to stay and not a lot else here's the place.
I loved my stay there. I will be returning in the near future.

We’re glad we picked this hotel - it’s good value for money and conveniently located if you want to explore the city and its surroundings on a budget.
Except for the slow check-in upon arrival, we were satisfied with the service we received at Oh! by Oasis during our 6-night stay in May 2016. Most guests spoke Spanish, but we had no trouble getting service in English. The included breakfast had a nice variety of warm and cold dishes. The pineapple compote was excellent! Some of the items don’t seem to get replaced, so go early for the best selection. Their free shuttle service to Oasis Palm offers convenient access to the beach area on the hotel zone. However, if you’re planning to spend most of your time at the beach, you’re probably better off with a different hotel in the hotel strip.
There are a couple of convenience stores and a grocery store (Chedraui Tulum) nearby. The ADO bus station and Mercado 28 are also within walking distance of the hotel. We had dinner at the food court of Plaza Las Americas, a 15 minute walk from the hotel, every night for about 10 $ a meal. We didn't feel unsafe walking there and back even past 10 pm. We would recommend this hotel to young couples looking to experience Cancun away from the highly touristy beach areas.

"Hotel is ok, about a 20 minute bus ride to beaches"
We actually enjoyed our stay here. They didn't offer any amenities but that was ok. Located in central Cancun in front of parque Palapas, a place that is a must if you are in Cancun. It's about a 20 minute bus ride to hotel zone where all the beaches are located. We were really glad that we stayed here and interact with the locals and not in the hotel zone. Food in this area was great and very affordable. I would definitely stay here again

With my friend we're staying there for 2 nights so we didn't really expected a high quality hotel. But for the price itself is a good hotel. Service was great, definitely, very kind receptionist but unfortunately didn't speak good english. Anyway everything was good. The location is very convenient if you need to catch the bus for somewhere because is 4 minutes walk from the central bus station. The neighborhood is a bit scary though so keep it in mind.

It is in a very good location, across the street is the Chetumal tourist information. It is three blocks to the Avenue of Heroes, main street, where there is a good variety of eating places. The Malecon or ocean walk, is only a block away and has many activities nightly. The hotel is quite new and Does have food also. Had a very good stay for nine nights.

Handy location and comfortable, well priced hotel. Staff not overly welcoming, particularly at check in. Room was huge with a comfy king size bed and excellent value for a low price. Close to ATMs, banks and shopping mall and you can freely use all the facilities of the Oh! hotel next door eg pool.

Also known as El Centro, Cancun Downtown is where locals live and shop. Plaza las Americas is an American-style shopping center with large department stores and small specialty shops. Mercado Veintiocho (Market 28), an open-air flea market, is an alternative to the chain shops. Tourists often venture into area supermarkets for souvenirs and liquor. Plaza de Toros features weekly bullfighting.
