I travel very often. The appointments in this room, the layout and the amenities of this hotel are better than 4 stars. I like thoughtful touches, for example. The motion detecting LED night light that glows under the night stand illuminated my way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. So nice! The remote controlled shades and curtains allowed me to control the light with ease and precision. The bed was super comfortable and room service was fast, affordable and delicious. What else can you ask for from a hotel?

It was our second stay at the Aloft over the course of the past few years. Originally I was in town for a convention at the Dallas convention center across the street. My wife traveled with me that time and took advantage of the nearby attractions like the JFK Museum and other venues. The downtown area was clean and the shops and eateries offered a wide variety of options. This last time we came for the Cotton Bowl but stayed for a couple of extra days and took in the Perot Museum, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We walked almost everywhere including church Sunday morning. All in all an enjoyable and relaxing get away, with the exception of our team losing in the Cotton Bowl. If we found ourselves traveling to Dallas again we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The windows weren't clean (a previous guest had written an expletive on the window) and our heat didn't work. The heat was resolved quickly, though. All the service provided was top notch. Just a little more attention to detail from the housekeepers would be nice!

Went there for a birthday weekend. Meant to go around and check out fun places to eat and drink in the area, but ended up staying at the hotel. Great bar downstairs, followed by wonderful meal on the lobby level. Morning coffee in their coffee shop also a hit.
The hotel was beautiful; staff exceptional. Will definitely go back.

Like everything in Texas, downtown Dallas is big. Fortunately, downtown’s zones make it easy to explore. The city’s art museum, symphony, and Dallas World Aquarium reside in the Arts District. West End’s Elm Street marks the spot where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. The Sixth Floor Museum chronicles this dark day. Deep Ellum, east of downtown, is Dallas’ main nightlife hub.
