The hotel offered 850 hotel credits but they are not credits for any of the services in full. They were coupons. For a percentage taken off the services. I believe this was false advertising. Not happy about that. For a couples massage it costs $559 and they offered 25%. I would have booked at a different hotel if I knew.

My stay at Hotel Riu Cancun was by far the worst travel experience of my life. • Racism & discrimination: From the start, I was treated differently and unfairly compared to other guests. Simple requests were ignored or dismissed, and the discriminatory behavior was blatant. •threats: The most disturbing part of the stay was being extorted for money. I was told that if I didn’t pay, I could face jail. This left me feeling unsafe, intimidated, and completely betrayed by a place that should provide security and hospitality. • Poor service & cleanliness: Service was unhelpful and dismissive, and the rooms/common areas were not properly maintained. Even basic hygiene standards weren’t met. • Food & drinks: The food was repetitive and low quality, and the drinks were watered down Due to these reasons, I felt unsafe and uncomfortable, and I checked out early instead of completing my 5-day stay. Because I was unable to use the full booking as planned, I am requesting a partial refund for the days I did not stay. This trip was not just disappointing — it was traumatizing. Between the racism, poor service, lack of cleanliness, and being extorted under threat of jail, I will never return to this hotel and strongly advise others to avoid it.

This was my first stay at an all inclusive and it was well worth it for the stress-free convenience. The rooms were clean and the AC was cold, the food options and buffet were excellent, the staff spoke English and were friendly and accommodating. The location was excellent and the beach was clean. We had a great time and will likely stay at a RIU again.

I recently stayed at the Riu Cancun and was extremely disappointed. The beds were dirty, there was mold in the shower, and I even encountered bugs in the room. They still use outdated physical room keys that deactivate if they get near a phone or any electronics super inconvenient. The food was mediocre at best and definitely not what you’d expect for the price. Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Everything was perfect besides minor issues with my key card for the first two days. The staff is amazing. The food is great. The vibe is there, the party life is there, the people are nice and noble.

Rooms were nice and clean and we cleaned every day when asked staff was also super nice and everything. Restaurants were amazing. I would definitely come back again.

The housekeeping staff is constantly cleaning all aspects of the property. They work very hard. The wait staff is super nice and have bosses that help them (Limbert, Moshan, and Miguel...thank you!!) I cannot say enough about the bartenders......Jesus, Samuel, Jose, Maggy, David, and especially Manuel.....y'all are the best if the best!!! I cannot forget Javier, whi kept us in drinks by the pool. The staff is our reason for returning!! Thank you all again!!
