CIQALA Luxury Suites

752 Manuel Fernandez Juncos Ave, San Juan - Map
Everything was smooth here. The front desk personnel was SO amazingly nice, friendly, and helpful. She told us about the food trucks nearby (where we went to four times in our five days there!), gave us information about the area, and helped us through everything. The hotel has a free shuttle that goes to Condado beach and picks you up. They also have free bike rentals. Breakfast and parking is FREE (which is SO hard to find in San Juan). It is not ON the beach but it's not too far. We had a rental car so we used the shuttle once but drove once to the beach. There are tons of parking lots for about $6.50 for the whole day--very reasonable. We loved it so much that we had two nights at the end of our trip unbooked and wanted to venture out but decided to book at the Ciqala again. We are excited to go back! We love it!

"Nice Hotel in the Old Town"
Nice clean small hotel, close to San Juan sites like the Fort, Princesa, Cathedral. Reasonably priced. The two room suite was of nice size rooms and living area. Clean bathroom. Just right for spending your nights and resting during the day while in old San Juan, instead of being in a big name hotel and away from the local feel.

"Great hotel with good location"
Great hotel with an excellent staff the roof area is defiantly a great spot with the rooms being very nicely decorated - however most of the individual rooms have no views once you are in the patio... but it's location is great and central to SJ

"Lovely Beach Views"
Overall, my husband and I had a good experience at the San Juan WBC. The check in staff were welcoming and pleasant. The restaurants on site provide good quality food. They are a bit pricey, mainly the drinks. As it pertains to areas of improvement, the hotel should make stronger efforts to ensure that the common pool area is clean. My husband and I visited the rooftop pool on two different occasions and there were empty cups and wet napkins (in a puddle of water around the pool.) Because the area around the pool isn't that extensive, it felt icky having to step over someone's wet napkin and empty cups. I think that someone should be on hand to maintain the cleanliness of the pool area every 15 minutes or so just to ensure that guests get a better resort like experience. In addition, while our room was cleaned daily, it became a nuisance when the housekeeper failed to provide towels entirely one day and then provided only large towels (no small ones as there were upon our arrival) the last day of our stay. Admittedly the hotel is beachfront and sand is everywhere. At times, my husband and I said that we wished the floors were carpet instead of tile because there was this constant icky feeling of sand on your feet, even if you just showered. The entry to the beach area and hotel provided seating could be better maintained as well. There were old empty bottles and other trash items. The hotel should take the initiative to keep this part of the beach clean for hotel guests.

"Beautifuly quaint."
Easy check in and check out. Staff very helpful on all questions. This boutique hotel is just beautiful, we had dinnner with room service a couple nights, sitting on the terrace overlooking hotel beautiful natural landscape with the sounds of Coqui, perfect. If you are looking for a pool, this is not the hotel for you, the pool is tiny, but you have access to sister hotel chains an Uber away. Would stay there again on our next trip!

Fortaleza Street N 253, San Juan - Map
We had to go to the front desk twice to ask for toiletries. The room was very cold. It's ok if you are going to be out site seeing and need the room just to sleep in. There was hangers in the closet but no drawers to put your clothes away. Street parking is scarce. We parked in a large lot called Fona Felas which was relatively cheap, like $15.00 for24 hours. One thing that was on the plus side is that the room is smack centered in the middle of all the restaurants, bars and shops. Overall the room was ok.

Hato Rey is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Hato Rey, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Hato Rey hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
