Large room and comfortable bed. Pub had decent food at reasonable price. Good sound insulation to allow us light sleepers to sleep through the passing jets (also had the heater fan on to help drown out the noise). Had to call desk when we checked in because cleaners left a stack of towels in the toilet bowl that I didn't want to risk flushing. They came and cleaned it up quickly.

Great place! This is a wonderful hotel. Right next to the river with great views. I went there for a nice romantic getaway. We had a fantastic room but there was a little problem with the fireplace. I let the staff know and after I came back from shopping. They decided to upgrade me to a even more fantastic room. I don’t ever write reviews but I would 100% recommend this place

Very nice hotel, check in and check out were smooth, room was very clean and nicely appointed. Only negative was the music we could hear from a ballroom 2 floors below our room. Happily that noise was only moderately intrusive and ended at a reasonable hour. Access to downtown was easy and quick. Overall this is a place we would stay again, though we might request a room in a different wing of the facility.

I cannot express how convenient this location was for our visit. It felt like almost everything we wanted to see was a short walk away, and with the bus system in conjunction, our visit of Portland was highly accessible. The staff was friendly and attentive and the accommodations for guests was lovely. My only complaints were that the hot water went out during one morning of our stay. It was a slight inconvenience not being able to shower in the morning. But they were prompt on fixing the issue and I was able to get my shower that evening. The only other issue was that there was some early morning construction going on. I was hoping to sleep in a bit, but each morning we were woken up early with the sounds of drilling. It was a bit disappointing at the time, but in hindsight, it worked as a nice alarm clock to ensure I got up and was more proactive during my visit. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay, and I would return. It just might be worth it to check to see if they are doing any construction first.

Just southeast of the Columbia and Willamette Rivers’ confluence, North Portland claims a very tall resident: Its famous Paul Bunyan statue stands at 35 feet. His verdant surroundings include Kelley Point Park, Pier Park, and the 2,000-acre Smith and Bybee Lakes Wildlife Area. Nearby, the Beaumont-Wilshire district—a specialty-shop hot spot—hosts the annual Fremont Fest celebration.
