The room was clean and adequate for my trip. All I did was sleep there. Despite being near the airport, it was quiet and I slept well.

"Improvements need to be made"
Staff was friendly, and check-in/out was smooth. My three disappointments are: 1) the building is starting to show it's age. It's not set up correctly to easily enter/exit the front door, navigate the lobby and the hallway to the elevator if you have any physical disabilities. 2) While the shower functions properly, and water flow is adequate, the water temperature in the shower is barely lukewarm - barely enough heat to get shampoo to lather. I left both mornings not feeling very clean. Water temperature in the sink is fine, but shower just is not. 3) The floor in the hallway (2nd floor) looks really bad, not inviting or pleasant at all. It's obvious that the carpet has been patched to cover damage and it hasn't been done in a good way. The rooms are clean, and they have done a good job with keeping the inside of the rooms looking current with a nice bedspread and linens, plenty of pillows, and an easy chair.

"Solid Hotel, Unique Location"
Helpful staff, nice room, and excellent gym (the best I've had at a hotel with free weights and punching bag). A unique location that is close enough to downtown to be accessible via streetcar, but out of the downtown bustle and next to the greenbelt/river. We enjoyed walking to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner. Not geared to kids, but ours loved it anyway.

"Nice motel in a not so nice part of town"
This motel was chosen as it had high rating on Expedia. The area of town is not the best, however the stay here was great. The room is updated, clean, has laminate flooring, a large fridge, with freezer, microwave, great pillows on the bed, a small table and good wifi. The owners are very friendly, offering up free coffee and snacks in the lobby in the morning. If you are on the road and looking for a nice, clean bed, this is the place!

"As expected"
The room was clean, staff was great, Furnishing were Spartan including a desk chair that could be used in any traditional Japanese restaurant where you expect to sit on or close to the floor. Have had many more complaints in more expensive accomodations. Overall a solid 3 or 4

Great value and unit! Very clean, and was very happy with everything provided. Only points off would be for lack of cable and a bit difficult to figure out process to get into unit to begin with. Awkward interaction with residents of building Just a bit confusing and awkward to self check in. Had some residents who seemed uncomfortable with having travelers stay at the building. "Are you a resident here...?" Very friendly and helpful - the complimentary bottle of wine was a very nice touch!

"Great location, friendly staff. artsy vibe."
Stayed for 2 nights for anniversary. Would have loved to know about the free bikes. I rented some downtown. It says there is a sauna/pool but that is in an old gym down the street. not ideal experience.

Shilo hotels have not failed to meet my expectations. The suite was comfortable and clean. The staff was great every where, and the waitress in the the restaurant even remembered us from the previous day. If I'm ever in Portland again I'd stay there if possible.

Oregon City is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Oregon City, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Oregon City hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
