Lots of homeless in the area, walked back to hotel after an event and felt safe that there was a lot of people around but if it was any other night i don’t think i would have felt completely safe. Hotel was great, bed was comfy the hotel did have a weird smell which i think may have been from the A/C. Staff was very friendly, and super helpful

Old and uncomfortable bed

Check in and check out was easy. The room was spacious, but it smelled musty. Beds were sunken and really uncomfortable, made out back hurt.

Updated historic hotel in a great location. Easy to walk to shopping, restaurants, etc and close to public transportation. Nice wine snd cheese happy hour for guests. Comfortable room and convenient parking.

LOVE THE OLDEST HOTEL IN PORTLAND!

This was a last minute reservation, we were lucky to get the last room. My friend and i came to see the Rose and Japanese Garden. Tim was very helpful at check in and Anthony was wonderful helping us with parking and luggage. Beautiful hotel and the best bed and linen I've had in a long time! Beekman 1802 products were appreciated. Great recs for Indian food for dinner (East India up the street) and Cheryl's for breakfast around the corner. We'll definitely stay here again when my husband and i come back.

Love the fantastic staff, Harrison and Anthony. The room layout was just right for us. The bathroom needed some attention peeling paint and icky grout. Seemed like there may have been some flooding

The room is very clean and the bed is comfortable, even with a little kitchenette. They have happy hour daily. The staff are very friendly. The only down side which is not their fault, is the homelessness and noise late in the night and early morning.
