"Very nice B&B close to the centre of sydney"
Lovely B&B that is so close to everything in the city where we spent 3 days and nights. The hotel is in the rocks where there are loads of good restaurants and bars, and also 2 min walk from central quay where you can get a ferry anywhere. James and Linda were very welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. Breakfast was very good and the condition of the room was great. Would recommend staying in the loft apartment.

"Sydney Mercantile Hotel The Rocks"
Now after looking online for hotels, I was surprised at how expensive hotels were around the Rocks area which is probably the best tourist access area of Sydney. I found The Mercantile and thought the price was pretty good. I read the reviews and did a little research on it. The hotel is old, has a bar/restaurant on the bottom. Very classic style, I liked it. We booked in on Sunday and they had a really good band sort of classic rock style. The rooms are old as the building is old. The beds and such were newly changed and clean. Some of the other things may not have sparkled as the building is old. We booked the room with in-suite bathroom. The bathroom shower was really big and comfortable. Overall the room is clean, very comfortable, but it isn't like a five star hotel. I would return any day as the rooms was well priced, entertainment at the site. WiFi, fridge, AC. They even gave us a couple free Guinness hats.

"Upscale Facility with Great Staff and Views"
This beautiful hotel is located at the edge of The Rocks next Hart, a local nighttime hotspot. After arriving late on our first night, we had drinks and dinner in the bar and restaurant (The Altitude) and were afforded our first beautiful view of the harbor bridge and the Sydney Opera house. Window seats added to the spectacular experience. Our five nights and four days were curated with the help of a wonderful concierge staff (with one exception on the last night-her poor directions left us lost in the dark and raining unfamiliar neighborhood), so we were able to see as much of the city as possible during our short stay. One concierge in particular helped us secure orchestra seats at the Opera House and tickets for Carmen. Thank you for a lovely stay.

"Exceptional customer service & amazing view!"
Upon checking into the Park Hyatt Sydney, we were greeted by friendly customer service staff members. We were only there for a night because we were running the Sydney bridge run the day after. We checked into the harbour view and had an amazing view of the harbour during the day and night - don't worry about the sound because you could barely hear it from your room! The staff at Park Hyatt were incredibly understanding and made our experiences really amazing when they organised for breakfast to arrive at our rooms much earlier than when it was available because of our running commitment in the morning. Also due to the run closing off major roads in the CBD, they organised taxi and pick-up points a bit away from the hotel but still, every staff were incredibly helpful with making it such a wonderful experience. I look forward to my next stay!

"Comfort, vintage, yet authentic hotel in Sydney "
Definitely not the holiday inn but it had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay and was located within walking distance of everything to do near the harbour. I enjoyed it and would definitely recommend if your looking to crash for a few nights and really do some exploring.

The Rocks is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in The Rocks, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your The Rocks hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
