I stayed in room 402 for 8 days, which gave me ample time to form a clear and unbiased impression of the guest house. The staff were exceptionally friendly and respectful. The rooms were very clean, and breakfast was good, though the selection could be expanded to include more continental options. The location is excellent, with easy access to numerous restaurants and shops. Some guests may comment on noise from nearby construction; however, this is common throughout Addis Ababa, where building activity is widespread across the city. One suggestion for improvement would be to invest in memory foam mattress toppers and higher-quality pillows, such as feather or memory foam options. The bed comfort became more noticeable over a longer stay. I discussed this with the manager, who was very receptive to the feedback. Overall, it was a great experience and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I stayed at Hotel Lobelia from July 12 to 15 and liked it so much I extended through July 24. The staff were consistently supportive and friendly throughout my whole stay. The location is fantastic, just minutes from the airport by foot or car, with a free shuttle included. With the cold, rainy weather lately, having free access to the steam bath was a real perk, a great way to warm up and ward off the aches and colds that weather like this can bring. The hotel also offers excellent value, with a complimentary breakfast included. My room was spotless and everything worked perfectly, right down to the in-room safe.
