Had a great trip room was great

Excellent experience at the miners club. Room was great and property was well maintained and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This was probably the worst hotel I could have picked to stay in. First, there is an undisclosed $100 "deposit" you are required to pay at check-in. This is not anywhere on the expedia website. The staff member was able to show me that this is written down somewhere in their policies, but I was unable to figure out where he pulled it from. Second, everything is just dirty. The hallways, the elevator, and especially the rooms were filthy. There were stains all over our carpeting and even on the walls. I think the sheets were the only clean thing, but I am glad I didn't bring a blacklight. There were also scratches and dents on the walls--which again--were extremely dirty for some reason. I did not feel safe leaving my personal items in the room after we left for the day as there was no "do not disturb" sign provided for the room. The bathroom was the weirdest part. There is not reliable hot water for showering, the coffee maker is right next to the toilet, and there were crevices right at eye level (the window well) which had caked on dust that looks like it had not been touched for months. Upon checkout, the staff member could not tell me when or if I could expect a return on my "deposit". Best part is they don't even have an official website or place to lodge complaints. I can deal with a lot, but this was such a disgusting and disappointing stay. At least it was walking distance to downtown. I am incredibly upset.

The EVO hotel has a great vibe and is walking distance from several great restaurants.

Great stay. Unreal views. Great staff.
