When we saw the photos of this property, we felt like it was going to be a little hidden gem. It looked updated and cozy. When we actually checked in, we were disappointed. For the sake of character limit I’ll list off our pros & cons: Pro: -pretty location close to Hwy but far enough off that you don’t hear the noise. Cons: -confusing to find unit, signs directing would be helpful. -from parking you walk across a large deck meant as a common space. Large trash can was out and heaped with trash; stayed there our entire stay. Lots of miscellaneous house keeping items also left on deck. -room felt fairly low quality & not well done. You can tell that everything was remodeled DIY, not by a professional. Which is fine, but there were things like the carpet pulling up around the perimeter bc baseboards weren’t completed. The kitchen was laid out so that the full size trash can was right next to the head if bed. -headboard was loose and smacked against the wall every time you moved. -jacuzzi tub was cracked & looked old & worn in a way that makes you unsure how clean it actually is. Neither of us would use it. -water took an extraordinarily long time to get hot. We were disappointed enough in the room that we chose to go somewhere else for our 2nd night. I texted the # given per checkout instructions & never got any reply. We never saw any manager or staff while there. We booked this room bc of great reviews so I wanted to offer my honest experience.

I stayed for six nights and it was everything I needed for a comfortable stay!

So comfortable and convenient.

The staff was absolutely amazing! There weren't a ton of amenities, and unfortunately the hot tub was out of order, which I had really been looking forward to. However, they made up for it by surprising me with a complimentary room upgrade and drinks for my birthday, which I truly appreciated. Also...the body wash and lotion—OMG! They smelled incredible. I completely forgot to ask what brand or scent they use because I would absolutely buy it. The valet parking is pricey, but we chose it so we wouldn't have to haul our luggage from farther away, and it was worth the convenience. The room itself was so much fun! I loved the projector screen, and the extra-high bed was such a cool touch. The kitchenette had everything you would need if you wanted to cook a meal during your stay. The bathroom was a work of art. I loved the overhead rainfall shower and the handheld pull-out shower head—it felt so luxurious. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. One thing to note: the hotel is dog-friendly, so you may hear dogs barking occasionally, but it wasn't excessive. Thank you, Catbird, for helping make my birthday special. Everything about our stay was great

It was outstanding in every way imaginable! Went for our honeymoon, stayed in the Royale Suite,naclcony accesswith a view over courtyard,amazing. Rich history inside this mansion,gorgeous staircase in the entryway,not to mention the spooky ghosts to greet you when you stumble in from the convenient Tavern 10 FEET from the hotel! Located in awesome Capitol Hill, tons of local food,clothing and dank close by. Cannot wait to go back and see what Chris has in store for the basement!!!! Will be back soon,,
