We had a lovely stay at the Iowa House. It used to be a fraternity house so is perfectly setup to be a B&B. The bedroom is spacious and nicely decorated. What we really enjoyed was the ability to use the dining room and living room 24 hours a day. We played cribbage in the dining area and it gave me the chance to really look at the details that were put into the space. It is beautifully decorated with seasonal items and has a warm comfortable feel throughout. It was very quiet. The breakfast was made to order and was fantastic. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here.

Front desk lady was rude. First room stunk like a wet dog. I wouldn’t stay there again…

This place is tired. The room smelled musty and the property is in desperate need of maintenance. The exterior had lots of tall weeds, etc. There are several other lodging options in the immediate area which may be better options.

Ugh but cheap -just needed a room.

I came to ride my bicycle on the high Tresstle trail to the Raccoon river trail. The hotel was a good location and I happened to be there at a time when there was not a lot of guests. The room was nice and comfortable and it was very quiet. The staff was nice and helpful. I didn't check out any of the other amenities so I can't review them. Overall I had a pleasant experience.

This hotel is a beautiful hotel only about 1 year old. It is very clean, location off the main street, and easy parking. Also, it is located next to a great bar/restaurant, Walgreens, and other facilities nearby. My only concern is that although, the front desk staff was very nice and friendly I felt the professionalism could be improved. Early in the morning I waited for someone to return to the front desk only to see they had been getting there breakfast at the dining room area. I would think meal breaks would not be during there shift and at the front desk.
