This was our first stay. The hotel is downtown, close to everything -- lot's of great restaurants, and shopping, and transit just steps away. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed for renovation, The lobby is very tiny and cramped. The lounge was a nice space, but also not actively in use. You had to order breakfast from room service, and someone would deliver it to your room or to the lounge, which was OK, but not great. The room was really small (which I understand, it is a boutique, historic hotel), The bed was very comfy. Housekeeping not great -- missed doing our room one day, then left our pillows on the floor (!) the next day.

Had a great two-night stay here for a long weekend trip to Portland. We have never been to Portland before and this hotel was in a great location. Just outside the main Downtown area so it was quiet, but close enough to public transportation and was walking distance from some attractions. Very pleasant and helpful staff members.

This hotel has an extremely good location to Powell's Bookstore and many good places to eat in Portland. The room was very clean, and widescreen HD TV excellent quality. Kitchenette was helpful, but no supplies (you must get these from the lobby). I would definitely stay here again.

This is my first stay at pineapple hospitality.
I can't believe how big of a difference the separate and fluffy duvet made! It's like sleeping in a cloud. A shame other hotels haven't caught up.
Areas for improvement:
-plugs/charging ports at the bed (there was only the alarm clock which supports the latest iPhone)
-lights, more centralized control would be nice. Had to fiddle with switches under the lamp shade in relative darkness
Overall a really nice stay. Would seriously consider coming back next time i am in Portland.
(Fluffy the dog is a nice touch to liven the room)

West of the Willamette River, downtown offers a celebrated skyline, walkable streets, and a lively arts scene. Visitors shop tax-free at Powell’s Books and Portland Saturday Market, a craft lover’s paradise. Area festivals include Cinco de Mayo and the Oregon Brewer’s Festival. The Oregon Zoo, the swank Pearl District, and the inviting Pioneer Courthouse Square are other noteworthy attractions.
