The Regency was a the best priced hotel and the rooms were a reflection of that. The staff was very friendly. Although the building was dated and could use an update, I enjoyed my stay there and would recommend staying there.

Really enjoyed our stay here. We had an early flight into Calgary so were unsure if we'd be able to check-in early (around 9am) so were resigned to just dropping off luggage. As luck would have it they had a room available which made for a fantastic check-in and start to the day.
I've seen some reviews about the temperature of the rooms and we had the same issue. It was an oddly cold August weekend when we were there so it wasn't unbearable but the room got very warm even with the AC turned on and/or window open. On a hot day I'd imagine it would be very uncomfortable.

Enjoyed a one-night business visit here, nice staff, lovely if quite small room, super-comfortable bed; was surprised to have quite significant train noise from nearby tracks, even on a high floor (though staff had warned about it); elevators are a bit old-fashioned (don't try to stop the closing doors!).

Great location, close to everything (especially University buildings)
The room was a little outdated. Nothing broken. However, a couple dirty towels were in the room and needed to be removed. The ceiling in the shower was a little moldy.
The lobby and having Moxies attached to the hotel was convenient.
Parking is a little expensive when already paying top rate to stay.

Very nice rooms, slightly smaller rooms than I would have expected considering they have so much room in Calgary. The rooms seem to be packed full of every amenity and are very cozy. The lobby is super uninspired, maybe I missed some other part? Breakfast service was very good, and as you would expect from a big hotel chain, the food was average and over-priced. Joey's across the street is good. Great location overall.

Calgary, with a population of 1.2 million residents, is Alberta’s largest and Canada’s fourth-largest metro area. The observation deck at the top of Calgary Tower provides an excellent view over downtown, including Stampede Park, site of the annual Calgary Stampede, and the Saddledome, where the Calgary Flames ice hockey team plays. The nearby Calgary Zoo is home to more than 1,000 animals.
