After staying at the Royal York 2 weeks ago, we decided to come back so we could attend the AGO exhibit. Once again, our expectations were exceeded. Friendly and helpful front desk, beautiful room - well appointed with great view, all the amenities and spacious. The pool and spa area is now reopen and is fabulous! We enjoyed the wonderful service in the Library (one of the best dry martinis I have ever had!), and lounged in the lobby with its magnificent flower arrangement and luxurious furnishings. While we only stayed for one night, it felt like a week - so relaxing. And the best is the location! Take the train in and walk across the street. Only a few blocks to the Eaton Centre and theatre. Subways are easily accessible from this location. I love, love, love this hotel!!

This hotel is awesome! We stayed with 4 kids ages 1month-8 yrs... The staff were so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.. Being winter in Canada with 4 kids it requires A LOT of gear, so being able to walk to the mall and restaurants through the indoor "PATH" was great! We've stayed here a few other times and always choose to come back it comparable price wise and offers a luxury hotel.. The pool is beyond cool indoor/outdoor the kids are always trilled and ask to go back!!.. We will always stay here when we're going to TO even if we have to drive a little farther... Valet parking is also awesome, with great bell staff helping with your luggage.. Pay per view with in theatre movies in a huge a TV was a another's bonus with little kids!!! Definitely the best hotel we've stayed at and we travel regularly for business and pleasure

If you are travelling as a family, you may want to check with them the number of beds available. They said they guaranteed the room booked will sleep all guests but could not specify (at the time of booking) the number of beds. When we got there the only option they had was two double beds for a family of four. We had to pay extra for a cot so we would all sleep comfortably.

Upon arriving I was greeted at the entrance by a doorman who handled all my bags and ushered me to the front desk. Not having a strong grasp of French, the staff speak English as well and had no problems understanding me or making themselves understood. That's very helpful.
The hotel has excellent facilities: restaurant, bar, weight room and other shops which I found very interesting. When you stay, try dinner in the restaurant - the General Tao chicken salad was great.
The room was large and very pleasant as was the king-sized bed, and the window offered an excellent view of Montreal. When you plan to stay, make sure to investigate the local attractions of this beautiful city and her people and if you don't know French, don't worry. Most of the people have a great understanding of English and are very patient with their guests.
