If would like to get away to a near-by upscale hotel, but are put off by over the top prices and crowds during peak seasons, why not try a Friday night trip during off-season for $250 (Friday is $100 cheaper than Saturday). We left work an hour early on Friday to catch dinner in Banff and enjoy the hotel. Check-out is at noon, so you can sleep in a bit, then go for a soak in the hot spring and massage, and still have the rest of the afternoon to enjoy Banff before returning home. It was a nice little get-away, to surprise the wife, that had most of the benefit of a longer "upscale" excursion that you can do on a budget and can do spontaneously any off-season Friday night and helps to break up the Fall blues. We enjoyed it and didn't cost too much.

Staff are fantastic! So friendly & helpful. The location is great, views of the river with a central location, making it very convenient. The $10 parking with free in & out privileges was also a nice surprise!

Everything that you need is at your fingertips in this hotel. I love the convenience of going back to your room to drop off shopping bags, resting and then going back out for supper and a movie without moving my car.
