From views, to the amenities, to the grand old hotel itself, The Banff Springs hotel "IS" Banff. Afternoon Tea with the terrace view was spectacular. The paths from the waterfall and along the river to centre of the town makes for a lovely walk and much preferred to staying in the hustle and bustle of main street. I really can't rate the hotel high enough.

"Excellent downtown location with access to the +15"
We always stay at the Westin for business as our office is also downtown and there is +15 access direct from the hotel to the office. The staff is wonderful, friendly and accomidating and the rooms are comfortable and clean.

Love what they have done with the place in recent years. Is always a quiet comfortable stay with great views.
The Beds are super comfortable, and the pillows are even better.
Only thing that bugs me is the TV and the remotes. They need a significant upgrade there. The picture quality, channels, and getting to the movies is a pain in the A. The remote buttons barely work and I would love to throw them at fast ball speed into something very hard.

We had a great time. The hotel rooms are in pretty original condition with the exception of the bedding/mattresses, tv's and fridges. The rest could use some updating of fixtures. The toilet broke while we were there but they were very quick to fix it.
