"clean,cheap and accessible"
if you want a clean, cheap and accessible hotel stay in London - this is it. I booked a room without a window as I was only staying one night and its cheaper. This place is perfectly adequate, not luxurious but what do you expect for the money?

"Great location, nice sized apartment"
My first apartment was run-down but the hotel staff moved me to a much nicer apartment the second night after I complained. The second apartment was quite clean, well-equipped, and a nice size. I wish they had AC because it happened to be very hot in London at the time, but I realize the hot weather is unusual. I also wish they cleaned the apartment more than once a week (they do it for an additional fee). It would be a good idea to bring dishwashing soap and laundry detergent etc. because these are not provided (and there is very little soap/shampoo as well). It would have been nice for them to check the quality of the kitchen equipment regularly (e.g., the nonstick frypan provided was so scratched-up that I couldn't use it). Lots of light coming into the room through the blinds. But overall a good experience and I would stay there again.

"Nice apartment, close to underground"
The hotel staff was very professional and answered questions very clearly. The apartment was a little smaller than we expected however it was fine for our stay. The room was clean and in good condition. The apartment was close to the underground. The washing machine was handy. We had breakfast in the apartment every morning but we didn't have other meals in the apartment. There is a grocery next door which was handy.

"Roomy apartment with all the basics"
We got great directions from the hotel staff on how to get from Heathrow airport to the check-in location using the London tube. The hotel staff was very nice. The actual apartment was about a 10 minute walk from the check-in location. The apartment itself was very basic - it had everything we needed, but was not fancy. The benefit of the apartment (vs. a hotel room) was the space. We had a two-bedroom two-bath apartment for a family of four. Another benefit was being close to a grocery store, so we purchased the basics to have breakfast in the apartment before setting out for the day. The Metro stop was also about a 10-minute walk from the apartment. There was no air-conditioning, which we knew when we booked, but the apartment was above a restaurant and we couldn't keep the windows open at night because of the noise from the restaurant's dish washing. Not sure if this would apply to all the apartments as I believe the apartments are located in a variety of buildings. If you're looking for something 'posh' then this is not the place. If you're looking for space at a reasonable cost, then you should consider this option.

Southwark is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Southwark, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Southwark hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
