This is a great hotel if you need to be close to Paddington Train Station. Just a few minutes walk. Good neighborhood with nice pubs and other options. Very close to the canals if you are interested in them.
The hotel itself is very nice. It worked out fine for a two night stay, but due to our room's miniature size, it might be hard to stay much longer than that. The amenities were great and the bed and linens are very nice. Even though the room was tiny, the bathroom was a decent size.

We have used this hotel several times and will continue to use it. The location using the Heathrow Express is perfect. The hotel is older but the rooms are clean and comfortable. There are many pubs and restaurants in the area and because of the location to the subway it works really well for us.

This is an old building and the hot and cold water on the sink are separate. The shower mixes the water, but be careful. The staff is friendly and the breakfast buffet is worth $10 USD pp. It is very good and so is the staff. The train station is around the corner, so we went to Aberdeen 2 hours away for the day and went to Glasgow 45 minutes away for the day as well. The hop on hop off in Edinburgh is quite a walk away down Princes street to stop #2 at St. John's Cathedral. One might want to take a tram, a bus, or a cab to get there. The concierge got a cab for us on the day we were going on a tour that met us by Edinburgh Castle. The cab was gratis, but would have been about 4.50 GBP.

Very impressed with this hotel. The check-in staff were friendly and helpful.
The room had a good view, and was quiet, despite being on a relatively busy street. The trains did not bother us at all.
Easy access to either the Royal Mile (up the stairs), or to North Bridge and Princes Street - easily walkable.

We arrived at the hotel and as promised we were upgraded to what the receptionist said was a superior rooms because of my birthday. The room did have a nice view of the castle and a fridge. But no DVD or safe it also had 2 beds making it a bit tight. The room was clean enough but the furniture was shabby, chips scratches and no drawers and the wardrobes had seen better days not what you expect from 4☆. The daily cleaning could have been better as I don't think we were hoovered the full stay. Don't get me wrong the hotel is very nice just don't expect normal 4☆

Hotel room clean but in need of refurbishment. Window wouldn't shut properly, so noisy. Hotel in process of being updated, but this is managed well and does not infringe on guests.
Very friendly and attentive staff. Good parking.
Food very good.
