It was a nice enough hotel in a terrific location. The room was clean and comfortable. The lobby area was very stylish. The concierge and front desk staff were helpful and professional.
But... I left feeling dismayed and insulted by some the staff. Two instances:
1) When calling for room service, I started mentioning the starter plates I would like to order- they were all off the room service menu. I was interrupted by the gentleman saying "We will have to charge you for that". I responded, "Charge me for what?". Then he had the gall to say to me , "The food is not included, it's not free". I was so insulted. Why on earth would he assume that a guest staying at a "nice" hotel in one of the worlds most cultured city is expecting to get room service for free?!!! I was reading it off a menu that had the prices clearly stated as ALL room service menus have EVERYWHERE.
To boot, part of my order was incorrect. I told my London friends and family about this, and they were both shocked and amused by that insulting comment.
2) At one of the bars on a not so busy night I sat and waited about 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. Then I got a very ubrubt bar tender take my drink order, and then another 10 minutes to get my drink. As I was waiting I heard a customer on one side complain that his beer was warm (and the bartender said that was all they had), and another customer complain that they ordered a well done burger and they got it very rare. None of the 3 bar tenders s

The only one thing to note about this hotel is that when you leave for the day and have your room cleaned they turn of the power . You need your room key to turn the power back on. This however turns off the air conditioning. They do open the windows but it doesn't help when it is warm and muggy. Quick fix but not having your room cleaned everyday.

Nice hotel with modern facilities and bespoke furniture.
Very soft sheets.
Only slight down side was that the mattress had a camber, so I didn't sleep very well 'cos I felt like I was going to fall out.

The apartment is set in the heart of the city, so understandably it is a bit loud at night but if you are out all day when you come in for the night you are so tired you just fall off to sleep. Everything is within walking distance or if you choose you can catch the bus or the train.
I read the reviews so I knew off hand that where you get you keys for the apartment is not the same place where you are going to stay but is within approximately 10 minutes walk. Based on that information my family and I traveled light ie one suit case each.
It was a great experience and I much say although I was scared the apartment we saw online was going to be totally different from what we would get, I was not entirely disappointed. Yes the apartment was not the same but everting you needed could be found in there. We could not ask for more. I thought we would have 1one bathroom but was had two BR, 2 Bedrooms and a pull out bed.
In a nut shell we tolly enjoyed ourselves and we would choose Olive Apartments again.

This hotel earns every single one of its 5 stars. The room was gorgeous (the privacy screen was our favorite!). Elegance and luxury doesn't even begin to describe it. The staff was first-rate and the service impeccable. Will definitely make this our first-choice hotel for all future trips.
