The hotel is very close to downtown Philly, walking distance to cheese steak locations and attractions such as Betsy Ross house and Benjamin Franklin's last resting place. Lots of restaurants and cafes also within walking distance. We took public transportation to get to the Rocky steps and that worked out great.

A perfect President's Weekend in the vibrant city of Independence and Liberty!!! Our stay was wonderful from the greetings by the Lobby staff when we checked in to our goodbyes when we left. The hotel is clean, modern and bustling with friendly and accommodating staff! It is wonderful to have a restaurant and bar on site - delicious food too! Our room was clean, comfortable and filled with amenities. The coffeemaker in our room made the BEST coffee I have ever had in a hotel stay!!! A pool and a 24 hr gym in the hotel added to the enjoyment of our weekend. Breathtaking views of Philadelphia from our hotel room.....can't wait to go back!!!!

wonderfully located, wonderfully helpful staff, great room & facilities.
only negative was that the window didn't open in the room - so I thought there was a little bit of a muskiness to the room, that some better ventilation. There was also a pretty strong smell in the elevator - not pleasant, but also a relatively small inconvenience.
Even with those 2 small complaints - I would definitely book it again. I traveled with my dog & they were wonderfully easy to deal with in this regard.

"budget experience maybe it could be a bit cheaper "
Good facilities. Clean in most areas (the female dorm showers could be a bit cleaner) and having a kitchen is a major plus. Free dinner Wed is great so is the free breakfast weekend. you have all you need. The bunkbeds are really small and low. I used the one at the bottom and hurt my head quite often. The kitchen is the best part and the fact they organise socials can be quite good for the young ones.
they could have safety boxes for passports and important docs.
In a small alleyway so it can be intimidating if you are on your own in the evening.

Dear diary, I stayed in a hostel. It was not hostile. The folks working there were cool cats, and I quickly felt comfortable being there. The atmosphere had a groovy vibe to it, foreign and new, yet familiar. Despite being a new space to me, and despite being filled with strangers, there was a definite and strong feeling of camaraderie and home to the place.
