Great location, mediocre hotel

Its a Wyndham so its nice, but it hasn't been updated in over a decade and is really starting to show its age. Carpet is curling, furniture and walls are a bit beat up. Oh and a water leak by the lobby. The key here is location. Right by Independence Park and offers onsite parking garage.

We spent over an hour getting the air conditioning in our room fixed when we checked in. The desk was very vague about dining options in the area when we asked for information. So far not impressed with the hotel. Location is excellent but customer service is not great.

Just a room for the night for us. 324 was our room number at the corner of Arch St & 4th St. Fire station on the opposite corner. Heavily traveled street. Very loud. Would not recommend that side of the hotel if urban noise is a deterrent to your sleeping ability.

Housekeeping was spotty at best. Our first night there, my wife accidentally dropped a tater tot on the floor. I thought it would be an interesting observation to see how long that tater tot would stay on the floor without anybody sweeping it up or vacuuming. It was there the entire week of our stay. They were negligent in picking up trash. Some days the bed was made better than others.

Enjoyed my stay. The service and accomodations were excellent. Very convenient location for walking. The entrance way from the hotel to the parking lot needs to be cleaned up. It is an eyesore and would not take much effort to clean it up with some paint , etc,
