Stayed here with my husband & our pup while visiting PA for a wedding. The hotel is clean, the employees are great & most of all it's so nice how this hotel is pet friendly. (They even give you info on where to roam around Philly with your dog!)
---There was a bag mix up when we were leaving, 1 of ours was left behind. Joe (bellman) went above & beyond with attention to detail,he realized it was ours w/o any name on it and then sent our bag to us via FedEx! Big thank you to Joe!!!!

Location incredible......Hotel staff was extremely accommodating and the Red Owl was a great addition to our time spent there. Room service was fast and valet efficient....no pool, but a fabulous top floor! Gym was great, clean, and new machines. Would definitely stay again.

When I arrived I asked the wonderful woman at the reception desk about the possibility of dinner reservations at three of the finest restaurants in Philadelphia. Then I quickly broke a glass in my bathroom. By the time I went back down to request vaccuming to get up all the shards (which was taken care of instantly), she already had the reservations and the times I hoped for. It set the tone for the personal care I got from both people in the breakfast room and all five of the people I encountered at the front desk. I chose this hotel for its small size and personal touch and it delivered the goods. Walking directions, taxi, dining reservations, help with the floor's computer, location and time for Sunday evening Mass, genial conversation...it was as if I were a guest in their home.

Overall, great stay. We travel a lot and rarely have any special requests and are not demanding guests. I did find the front desk staff a little aloof on check-in which was not an ideal first impression. The rest of the folks were very helpful including at the Prime restaurant where we enjoyed a meal. Someone had smoked on the floor but obviously the hotel can't be responsible for the actions of a dodgy guest.
