We had tickets for the Lion King and wanted to stay near the Straz Center. The Barrymore is right across the street so we could leave the car at the hotel and walk to the theater. It's an older remodeled hotel. Not real fancy, but clean, neat and friendly. Beds were comfy. Fridge, microwave and coffee in the room. Great for me as I always have to ask for a fridge for my meds. There is a restaurant in the hotel. Didn't try it.......went out instead. A great restaurant, ULELE, is just a few minutes away. This is my second stay at this hotel and I will come back again next time I have tickets to a play.

Was great for a one night place :) nice kitchen! And very quaint for the place. You could basically walk everywhere! The staff was super nice in assisting videos and restaurants in the area! I wish there was a breakfast or something in the fridge for it, but other than that, it was nice! :) great recommendation for Tampa and next to the beaches!

Used Tampa Aloft downtown when we went to the Billie Joel concert. It was close to the venue and within walking distance to local restaurants. Like the modern feel and the front desk staff was great, the room was clean
and quiet and comfortable. Would stay again if in the area.

A very comfortable hotel in an amazing historic building. The hotel has retained a lot of the features of the courthouse, wooden panelling, marble walls, original doors etc. very interesting. We arrived in the pouring rain which didn't stop so we stayed in and had a really good evening in the bar with excellent staff looking after a fun crowd. Dinner was really good, we had the steak frites.

"Nice hotel close to the riverwalk and cruise port."
We stayed here with our son and his fiance in 2 suites for 2 nights before our cruise. Nice landscaping and lovely lobby. Trolley just a few steps away from hotel entrance. Took to Ybor city for sightseeing and great lunch. Daily free breakfast buffet and managers reception with free drinks was a nice start and finish to our day. Blue One stops every 1/2 hour for transfers in Tampa. We used to get to cruise terminal for only $5 per person plus tip. Very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this hotel to unwind and add enjoyment to a Tampa vacation. We hope to return and will recommend!

Towers and massive tourist draws dominate Tampa’s waterfront. This area includes the convention center, cruise ship terminals, St. Pete Times Forum, The Florida Aquarium, and the Channelside Bay Plaza entertainment district. Across the palm-lined Hillsborough River, University of Tampa’s Moorish architecture sits in contrast of modern downtown. Nearby, historic Ybor City is Tampa’s Latin Quarter.
