I do not feel compelled to write reviews often however after my stay here over the weekend I feel I must share how amazing this property is. Upon arrival it is clear you are not staying at a cookie cutter 4 star property. The staff was incredible! If ever I am in Tampa again I will choose Le Meredian Tampa.

The only complaint I had last time was the front desk staff was not very friendly. This time the were awesome, friendly and made me feel welcome. Last time I felt they were judgmental and thought I wasn't good enough to stay, not knowing I was a professional.

Had a great time at the Marriott this weekend! We came for our anniversary and the front desk host put us in a balcony room when she heard that! Loved the pool, drinks were good, food was good! Shower had good water pressure and heat which is important to me. Beds were uncomfortable but I have yet to find a hotel with an AMAZING bed haha

Beautiful hotel downtown Tampa The free breakfast was awesome especially the omelet selections. Too many breakfast items to choose from. You want to try everything. The free drinks and snacks from 5:30 to 7:30 was also awesome. The bartenders were very pleasant. The only disappointment I had was having to pay for valet parking on a daily basis even thou I didn't use my vehicle. For 2 days it was over 50.00. The swimming pool was nice and warm but too small.

Reserved 4 rooms for family members. All were happy! Staff was marvelous, even locating Urgent Care and offering free transportation when a medical issue appeared. Will go there again when in Tampa. Used their shuttle to go to the aquarium the afternoon before the cruise.

We stayed here because we wanted to be around restaurants and shops, but we found the area to be pretty sparse for both. Ybor City is a short streetcar ride away that was described as a hub for arts and crafts and great dining, but when we went there it was not the type of area we wanted to hang around in. It had plenty of homeless men asking for money and the whole place looked like it needed a good hose down.
Closer to the hotel though, are some fantastic restaurants within walking distance. The Riverwalk is very scenic and safe to walk around at night. The hotel pool could have used a bit of a clean as it was looking a little green when we were there. We would have used the pool had it been crystal clear. The chilled fruit or lemon water was nice to come back to in the lobby after walking around in the Tampa heat.

Towers and massive tourist draws dominate Tampa’s waterfront. This area includes the convention center, cruise ship terminals, St. Pete Times Forum, The Florida Aquarium, and the Channelside Bay Plaza entertainment district. Across the palm-lined Hillsborough River, University of Tampa’s Moorish architecture sits in contrast of modern downtown. Nearby, historic Ybor City is Tampa’s Latin Quarter.
