Booking a room at almost the last minute, you make compromises and accept them. Rather like the hotel management made when they tried to put a New York boutique style hotel in downtown Charlotte. Room was neat, clean, and ready - and I was not really disturbed by the occasional corridor noise from apparent party goers. Staff were friendly and willing but didn't fully meet expectations given the hotel's presentation. The cable tv channels on offer appeared to be the majority of those 800 channels that no one watches (who watches cable tv shopping channels in a hotel?), and the ones you might expect to find all came with a message that you needed to make arrangements to get them. Food service in the hotel was open late enough that even with an almost 10pm check in, I was able to get a meal in the hotel without resorting to room service. Breakfast the next morning was the standard hotel offering but ample and well attended! As others have noted, the valet parking snuck up on me but under the circumstances was a part of the deal I'd made to get a badly needed room at relatively short notice during a two day road trip that wasn't too far from my route.

stayed downtown for a birthday celebration.
the room is nice, but nothing extreme. we were at the 11th floor and the noise of the music coming from outside was "noticeable"...
as far as the rest, as usual i don't understand how after you spend 500$ per night something simple like internet (10$/night) and parking (38$ per night) are not included...

"Beautiful hotel but they could not manage the socc"
Finding the hotel wasn't very difficult and it was absolutely beautiful. What we experienced (my 2 kids and I) was a hotel that could not handle the massive amount of people trying to get to their rooms before the 5:00 game. We arrived before 4:00 and waiting in line for 30 minutes before we were told our room would not be ready (check in was 3:00 PM per the website) and there was no apology whatsoever. I provided my phone number but was never called when the room was available. We arrived back at 8:00 PM and waiting again in line and was provided our room key and another line to pick up our bags (not taken to our room). After waiting 15 minutes, I had to follow a staff member to the room where the bags were stored and they couldn't locate either with my 2 claim forms. I found one (no tag) and the 2nd (which had a tag) so I was told they were not tagged correctly when we checked in. I was told to call and complain and try to get a discount but I do not do that unless it's a complete meltdown but the staff was overwhelmed and there were many unhappy people waiting longer than I for their room and luggage. The hotel was lovely and rooms were clean when we arrived around 9:00 PM.
There is a $50 fee that attach to your credit card if you paid or not so be aware (drops off after a few days) and there is a parking fee of $20 so also be aware of that as well.

We had to be in Charlotte for a funeral and did not have a lot of time to look for a hotel that was close to where we were going to be . Hilton Garden had a room available was extremely convenient and reasonably priced. Accommodations are basic but rooms were clean ,staff was friendly, the biggest drawback is the parking.
