My daughter and I stayed there recently for a competitive cheer competition being held in Charlotte. We couldn't have been more pleased. We ended having a large corner suite that I don't remember booking but it is possible that I did. There were wonderful views from our 16th floor room. The room was well appointed and to my surprise had a full kitchen. everything was very clean and the room smelled wonderful. Im not sure what they are using to scent the room but they need to bottle it and sell it. We ate at the restaurant downstairs and the food was excellent and not overly priced. I will say while we were there is was especially loud in the dining area with lots of young guests running around but that was not the hotels mistake in any way. There is room service available and I am sure to use that the next time we stay there. The hotel is located close to the bus station, tram station and trolley service. Valet parking is available.

in a great location !!! The hotel is next to the epicenter and is in walking distance to all the fabulous restaurants in Charlotte! The hotel staff was very friendly and we were able to get an early check in that made life a little easier for us.

When you walk in its like you are stepping into 1920's royalty. It's an elegant mountain retreat with huge burning fireplaces, oak rocking chairs, an antique working elevator behind the fireplaces and warm gracious staff to wait on your every whim. The rooms are clean and comfortable and reflect this romantic era as well. The spa is magnificent! The underground grotto makes the whole experience enchanting! My only complaint is the cost of everything extra is over the top! The spa services are wonderful and a must but you're definitely paying for them. The food is highly overpriced and you can't just get a simple snack without paying atleast $40. Also, the indoor pool is in the sportsplex building which you have to leave the hotel to get to. We were disappointed when we wanted to go swimming in late afternoon but didn't want to go out in the cold to get there, so we didn't go. To get to the spa, there is an underground tunnel which adds to the whole experience. There should be one for the pool as well. We took Lyfts to downtown Asheville and the Biltmore which are both worth seeing. My 2 grown daughters and I had a fabulous relaxing pampered 4 day weekend and highly recommend it to anyone.... Just be prepared to spend money!
