This is a great hotel. The time at beautiful, nice, and elegant. The bed is quite cozy and comfortable. The staff members when I checked-in on May 28, 2025 were helpful and friendly. The staff member that checked me out on May 30, 2025, in the early morning, was rude and disrespectful. He should not be working in hotel hospitality. He has a terrible demeanor. However, he does not represent the overall positive experience of staying at the Sofitel.

We were lucky enough to be upgraded upon check-in to a corner suite. Large suite, beautiful view of center city Philadelphia with loads of amenities. Check-In was smooth and quick, staff who checked us in was polite.

The staff was very professional starting from valet staff to check in and check out experience. The three things I would ask for improvements are the "double" bed space, no offer of complimentary water, and no dog amenity in the room. The double bed did not feel a comfortable fit for my sister and I; or perhaps we've grown since we last slept on a double. Additionally for the amount of the nightly cost, complimentary water was not offered until I submitted a hotel review which was disappointing. Not to mention a dog water bowl available in the room.
