I chose Prinz Eugen due to location by Hauptbahnhof and Belvedere Palace. Room was clean and comfortable, but we both got bit by something we did not see, which made me a bit worried. Free breakfast is served until 10am. Easiest way into the city is the D line Strassenbahn (tram), which runs €2.30/trip, unless you get the Vienna card from the hotel front desk, which gets you free public transport and attraction discounts for 1, 2, or 3 days. You activate the card when you first use it and it expires 24 hours - or 48 or 72 - later.

Hotel is not 3 star facilities, it is more bed and breakfast. It has no facilities except an area in reception where you can sit. Bottle of water in room for 4 euros. A small coffee machine in reception, no access to fresh water. Vending machine on each floor for fizzy drinks
Room adequate, comfortable bed, lighting needs to include desk light as it is very difficult to see to read at night due to ceiling lights very small.
Shower very good.
Breakfast good variety and caters for all needs.

Overall our stay in Vienna was very nice. We asked for a courtyard view and got to see the top of the tent over the courtyard.
Staff was very polite and helpful
Breakfast was always more than we could have asked for.
Dinner was always hot and served promptly

Many of Vienna’s artistic and cultural celebrities live here. Wieden’s varied architecture includes fine examples of the Secession style (Art Nouveau) and the city’s most impressive Baroque church, Karlskirche. The Naschmarkt on the Wienzeile is Vienna’s liveliest market.
