"Comfortable and Convenient"
I always enjoy the Prince not only because of its quality and service, but especially for its accessibility to Shinagawa station and the JR trains. Perfect for me. I stay here on every annual trip to Japan. Another big bonus is the string of great ramen shops across the street. Great selection of tastes!

"Pricey But Worth It"
The hotel is a bit pricey considering it's just a few minutes away from one of the busiest stations in Tokyo. But the travel convenience is worth it. The hotel is also surrounded by lush greenery so you feel a sense of nature even if you're smack in the middle of the world's largest city. Service is superb and rooms are spacious. I would recommended this to anyone traveling to Japan for less than a week and not worried about dishing out extra bucks for a convenient and comfortable stay in Tokyo.

"Great location and comfortable updated rooms. "
Spent a long weekend and we liked location close to train station, restaurants, ATMs. Room was clean and updated albeit a bit small but to be expected in Japan. Service was polite and helpful. Check-in and out were fast and easy.

Small but has everything. If you're very tall the ceiling in the bathroom was low. Great toilet bed TV etc. I'd go back. Great neighborhood with train, shops, restaurants etc.

"Great tatami Room "
This is a review of the tatami rooms at the hotel. These rooms are located on the 4th and 5th floor of a five story building. There are 9 rooms on each floor. We were 2 families traveling together. Our 4th floor room had a large area for taking off shoes and a closet as we enter. This is where we ended up leaving our luggage. We had 4 luggages and there were still room to move around. A separate living space where the futon (Japanese bedding) were already setup when we checked in the evening. There's a separate seating area by the window (nothing to see). Bathroom was old but very clean. Separate sink, toilet and shower with tub. A refrigerator, kettle and setting for tea (no coffee maker). The bedding was soft and warm. However, the comforters were a little short for my 6' son and husband. In the morning, you can put the bedding in the closet and you have quite a bit of room to move around. We were too lazy and just shoved to the side. The other family had a room on the 5th floor. Their living room was larger but smaller front door area and toilet (so small your knee is up against the wall). They had enough room to set-up 5 futons. Traveling with small children, they were able to buy take-out dinner from the train station and enjoy them in the room. We highly recommend these rooms for families or anyone who wants to try living "Japanese style". It does require you to sit on the floor with no shoes- so be warned.

"Budget hotel close to Metro"
Stayed for about 3 weeks off and on. Very scungy entrance way and whole pace looks like it was built 20 years ago and not refreshed since. Staff are young and try to be helpful but few speak English and even for those that do any non routine request is met with confusion. But on the positive side excellent location, fast lifts, comfortable bed, little noise (apart from one night when there was a storm outside that set the doors rattling) and good wifi internet throughout with better speeds than Australia (not that that's saying much). The place is well cleaned also. In short it more than met my needs. A couple of words of warning- they are not geared for foreign tourists and so don't expect you to arrive before 3pm and suspect will want to charge you an extra night. (I arrived back from a cruise at 11 and they couldn't cope with this but kindly held my luggage securely so I could go sightseeing). Also payment is in advance.

"Beautiful hotel with great value "
First of all, most Japanese hotel room sizes ( even the expensive ones ) are TINY, rooms here are of normal size . The hotel is newly built and decor beautiful. The Tokyo Monorail line drops you right in the hotel building at the Tennotsu Isle exit. There are restaurants in the building as well for variety if you don't want to eat in the hotel restaurant The only drawback is that it is a little out of the way from the action .

Takanawa is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Takanawa, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Takanawa hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
