"Great staff and room size!!"
We arrived at 11:00pm and of course everything is closed ( restaurants) nearby. Grab some food on the go before checking in so you need drive off to find something to eat. The staff were very helpful with our needs for the one night there. We had another reservation somewhere else the next day for 3 nights, so we left our big luggage with the hotel since we were coming back. From what I heard ( it's every close to the Shinagawa train station) we took a taxi to our next destination from the hotel. So we didnt experience the train station yet.

"Nice hotel close to train station"
We booked it through Expedia not knowing too much about it in advance. It turns out to be a beautiful hotel located near a JR station (Shinganawa). There are restaurants, malls and pharmacy all within walking distance. The hotel room is clean and spacious. It is connected to its sister-hotel and there is a beautiful Japanese garden in between.

"Budget hotel close to Metro"
Stayed for about 3 weeks off and on. Very scungy entrance way and whole pace looks like it was built 20 years ago and not refreshed since. Staff are young and try to be helpful but few speak English and even for those that do any non routine request is met with confusion. But on the positive side excellent location, fast lifts, comfortable bed, little noise (apart from one night when there was a storm outside that set the doors rattling) and good wifi internet throughout with better speeds than Australia (not that that's saying much). The place is well cleaned also. In short it more than met my needs. A couple of words of warning- they are not geared for foreign tourists and so don't expect you to arrive before 3pm and suspect will want to charge you an extra night. (I arrived back from a cruise at 11 and they couldn't cope with this but kindly held my luggage securely so I could go sightseeing). Also payment is in advance.

"nice budget hotel in Shinagawa atea"
it is a bit far from the JR Shinagawa station on foot and our room was bery small. Staff in the hotel were all nice and pleasant. It is a good budget hotel in Tokyo since everything is very expensive there. I liked this hotel even though there were some disappointment conditions. the hotel is on the old route (Tokaidoo) in Edo period and we can feel good old downtown Tokyo. There are vegetable stores, fish stores and a lot of small mom and pap type stores instead of supermarkets near the hotel. It is a bit far from the JR station but we can feel every day lives of Japanese people here.

"Convenient Hotel Location "
Fairly small go w/ a small room & bathroom was a small & narrow closet; and although there were no chest of drawers, there were two deep shelves behind closed doors. I did not like how the room key is also used to control the lights in the room. The lights are activated by inserting the key tag into a slot on the wall. The AC may not have been working properly as it got pretty warm at night. But its convenient location is the reason for us staying at this hotel. Almost everything you need are within walking distance. There is a supermarket, a pharmacy, specialty shops, Daiso store, dine-in & fast food restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, post office, banks, and best of all, easy access to the rail station! There's actually a walkway from the hotel that leads right into Osaki Station.

Takanawa is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Takanawa, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Takanawa hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
