Check in good, room fine, different to have shower next to bed. It being Vienna, good luck if you think that you will get a coffee at breakfast, that is in a hurry. Had to ask four times. Overall, a very nice hotel.

The hotel is fine - nothing outstanding but clean & comfortable.
Pretty good location, within walking distance of the centre
Very close to U-bahn station which is simple and fairly cheap to use
We found the room noisy, but we are used to living in the country so all cities are noisy to us! It was unseasonably warm when we visited (beginning of April) - we would have liked to open the window overnight as there was no air con, but the noise kept us awake.
Staff were not very interactive but were fine.
Breakfast was standard European fayre - plenty of it and just right to set you up for a day's exploration.

This place is cheap, clean, comfortable, and really close to the city center. I would stay here again. But, as other reviewers have noted, reception hours are very limited. Also, the staff are a little awkward to interact with. There was no TV remote in my room, and you couldn't operate the TV manually. When I mentioned this to the staff and requested a remote, they asked, "Why?" And then pointed out that I hadn't mentioned the missing remote before. (I had been too busy to have much time to watch TV prior to then.) It was just a very strange, awkward interaction. But they did ultimately give me a remote, and I wasn't put out by the interaction enough to think that the hotel wasn't a great deal.

central, very nice and helpful lady at reception. I had a 1-person (single bed...) room. Enough space in the room but larger bed would have been nicer for an adult.
The decoration is old fashioned but I found it satisfying.

A really lovely, spacious apartment with well equipped kitchen (although no oven) in a great location. Staff were lovely and very helpful with excellent English but reception was not open when advertised.

Vienna’s smallest postal district, named after Emperor Joseph I, is a popular residential area with a mix of students and affluent middle classes who colonize restored Biedermeier townhouses and luxury apartments. Its attractions include a complex of Baroque church buildings around the Piaristenkirche, the Josefstadt light-entertainment theatre and a folk art museum.
