My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect for getting around the old town. They had a good selection of at breakfast (although Monday morning breakfast was the best...kinda went down hill for me from there). Our room was Okay. The room was tidy but had a stained carpet. The A/C wasnt working so we stuffered at night as it was very hot. We did open the window, however, the noise from the road did not help our sleep. The staff were really nice and very helpful. We had desert at the hotel one night and it was more than we expected. Overall it was a good experience.

I chose this hotel, along with several colleagues, for a 5 night stay during a conference we were attending. I had a very nice room--double bed, bar fridge, large deck overlooking a nice garden. My colleagues, however, had rooms that were not much bigger than closets with bathrooms that you could barely turn around in. I did pay more for my room, of course. But none of us had air conditioning which was a serious problem given the 30C+ heat of July. A couple of us were provided with fans, which helped, but it was still uncomfortable for sleeping. Breakfast was adequate and the staff were very nice. I would opt to stay at this hotel again, except for the height of summer.

"Nice hotel walking distance to tourist attraction"
I stayed at this hotel because it was the conference's preference, however I am really glad I did. It is a great choice for comfort and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and the bed is comfortable. I loved the rain shower! It is in a great location close to the Rathaus/city hall and other tourist attractions. Additionally is it close to public transport for others further away. It is definitively more than you need for a stay in Vienna.

The pros- central to the city centre, great location, very touristy, great breakfast spread, polite helpful staff, good looking modern hotel
Cons- not a 5 star hotel, bathroom fixtures were shaky, very flat pillows, two single duvets on a double bed- not sure why, and there were no blackout curtains in my room- meaning it was very bright in the morning

Vienna’s smallest postal district, named after Emperor Joseph I, is a popular residential area with a mix of students and affluent middle classes who colonize restored Biedermeier townhouses and luxury apartments. Its attractions include a complex of Baroque church buildings around the Piaristenkirche, the Josefstadt light-entertainment theatre and a folk art museum.
