Hotel is not too far from subway (5 minute walk).
Right next to Theater in der Josefsstadt, so very handy of you want to visit a performance there.
Decent sized room although oddly shaped. Clean but no air conditioning (ceiling fan only) and somewhat noisy (tram line and night life). Decent enough breakfast buffee, but no variation, so gets a bit tiring for a 2 week stay.

We are a family of four and appreciated the spaciousness of the room. We looked out to a courtyard which was very quiet. Good transit connections with tram 43 or 44 stopping at the front door. Breakfast was extra but it was worth the small fee. Note - this is a typical European pension, not really a hotel so don't panic at the modest entrance and lobby. The rooms are good.

"Nice hotel walking distance to tourist attraction"
I stayed at this hotel because it was the conference's preference, however I am really glad I did. It is a great choice for comfort and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and the bed is comfortable. I loved the rain shower! It is in a great location close to the Rathaus/city hall and other tourist attractions. Additionally is it close to public transport for others further away. It is definitively more than you need for a stay in Vienna.

Vienna’s smallest postal district, named after Emperor Joseph I, is a popular residential area with a mix of students and affluent middle classes who colonize restored Biedermeier townhouses and luxury apartments. Its attractions include a complex of Baroque church buildings around the Piaristenkirche, the Josefstadt light-entertainment theatre and a folk art museum.
