A very very pleasant basic clean comfortable hotel as near to the centre of Vienna as you would wish. Very friendly and very very reasonable. Our twin room could have been a touch bigger but hey ho !!! The breakfast was absolutely good enough and everything you would want, in a very pleasant very Viennese room. Would suggest they get rid of the huge triffid like plants on the windowsills tho. Really made the room look very gloomy when indeed it isn't.

We stayed in the larger apartment, which was very spacious and bright with lovely windows overlooking the street below. This was a great choice for parents with a young baby (you do get a bit of traffic noise despite the double glazing). The hotel provided travel cot, changing facility and high chair. We really enjoyed our stay and made the most of the onsite parking and central location. The apartment is near many amenities (shops and supermarkets) and a short walk to nearby sights in Vienna. The apartment is in need of updating but was comfortable and good value. The apartment could benefit from cable TV.

Vienna’s smallest postal district, named after Emperor Joseph I, is a popular residential area with a mix of students and affluent middle classes who colonize restored Biedermeier townhouses and luxury apartments. Its attractions include a complex of Baroque church buildings around the Piaristenkirche, the Josefstadt light-entertainment theatre and a folk art museum.
