This hotel has the best hotel bed I have slept on in a long time!
I was very impressed how this hotel staff is managing with challenging circumstances of hotel renovation going on.
Our room seemed to be newly repainted and upgraded. A few touch-ups on the furniture would have improved the overall look, but I'm really not complaining. We were comfortable.
We were not inconvenienced by the renovation, but be prepared that the hotel check-in desk is in a temporary location as well as the breakfast that is served each morning.
We did not have to deal with any loud construction noises or anything like that

The rooms were comfortable. Nice size beds, great air conditioning and roomy.
The breakfast was typical, ok, but typical.
The staff was great.
Aside from the musty smell in the hallways and stairways, the hotel was very comfortable.

Friendly staff at check in /out, clean room w/lots of amenities. The kids pool was clean and I loved that it had the umbrella for shade. The adult pool was kid friendly w / 3ft depth at each end. The card access to enter the hotel made us feel safe and kept the halls air-conditioned. Great hot and cold breakfast.

This motel is a little bit in the dodgy part of town. We’ve seen many suspicious looking people during our stay but never encountered any issues. The Denny’s next door is very convenient for a big breakfast before exploring the city or for a quick dinner right before you crash in. The room was clean, the pillows were big and hard (just the way we like them) and the towels were clean but the bathroom was nasty. Somebody must have died their hair black because the wall, the tub, the floor, the door, everything had black stain on it. Water was hot but pressure was weak. It was OK to have a place to sleep and shower but if I go to Austin again, I will book a place at a nicer location.

Hotel was nice and staff was friendly but on the first night in our room, we had to kill a roach on the floor. Last day in the room, somehow a dead mosquito was in our bed. Not the cleanest hotel but the bed was comfortable for a 2 night stay.

North Central Austin is home to thriving Latino neighborhoods, Chinatown, and Highland Mall. Austin’s ethos of egalitarianism is evident here as college students, retirees, and blue-collar workers live side-by-side. FM 2222 leads to Mount Bonnell, which offers panoramic city views. Be sure to visit Threadgill’s on North Lamar, the beer joint where Janis Joplin groomed her voice and persona.
