"Very nice for the price"
Super 8 normally conjures up visions of a very low budget hotel/motel. But this establishment was just the opposite. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast buffet was the standard fare: eggs+ sausage or Biscuits+Gravy, make your own waffles, yogurt, pastries, toast, fruit, assorted cold cereal, oatmeal, etc. There was also a Starbucks expresso, latte, machiato, coffee machine. In the lobby, there is a small shop of food items for purchase. The only negative I experienced was in my room where there was a sticky stain from a spilled soda. I reported it on the way out for the day. It was cleaned up when I returned in the evening. I stayed for 5 nights.

"Comfy bed, cool dinner adults only drinks & buffet"
Staff not welcoming but soft comfy beds made up for it. Plenty of towels, room & bathroom clean. Huge door gap on bottom had to put a towel to block hall light while sleeping. Hotel offered 2 drinks & finger foods for dinner (adults only) which made it so cool without kiddos for some unwinding time. Pool was not avail. due to maintmaintenance. Over all good stay.

    Explore Austin

Cool, funky and fun: for a state capital, Austin is anything but staid. Famed as the “Live Music Capital of the World,” the city’s motto has long been “Keep Austin Weird.” Here you’ll find eclectic restaurants, clubbing districts, natural attractions and…oh yeah, a museum or two. Any night of the week you can hear live music at more than 100 local clubs. Sixth Street is known for a college crowd and hard-pounding bars, River Street hosts heavier metal and laid-back South Congress (SoCo) exudes a quirky, alternative vibe. The city fills with music industry folk and fans during March’s South by Southwest, the world’s largest music festival.

Everyone sleeps late, right? Nope – they’re up jogging or kayaking along Lady Bird Lake and swimming at Barton Springs – you can too. At sunset, a million bats provide a spectacle leaving their roost under the Congress Avenue Bridge. Museum lovers will appreciate the high-tech Bob Bullock State History Museum, the State Capitol and UT’s museums. Don’t miss the Hellcats at the roller derby.
