"One day visit to Austin"
Downtown Austin Hotel prices are extremely overpriced compared to DFW, Houston, & SA. We avoid this by utilizing one of the many boutique hotels that surround the attractions. Casulo is a fair, tasteful, hotel in a convenient location less than 4 minutes from downtown. Rooms are unique, clean, and BIG. Staff is professional. Rooms could use a small makeover on paint and walls due to daily wear and tear but other than that an easy place to stay.

"Nice place near the action"
Great room, great location. Room had fridge and microwave. Restaurant with bar next door. Staff was courteous, and professional. My only gripe was the free breakfast didn't have any meat like bacon or sausage. There were scrambled eggs, cereal, waffles and fruit. The breakfast was good but needs a meat offering. Overall great stay!

"No hot water :("
The Location was perfect! Minutes away from our training area. The room, although comfortable, did not have hot water. The stairs to the 2nd floor were uneven, difficult to maneuver and dangerous if one was not careful. Lighting was dim in the bathroom and around the vanity. No workout facility. The breakfast was good but would have been better if there had been some meat to it. Not a fan of vegetarian only. The Staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. Kitchen was ok, nice refrigerator. Elderly downstairs guest slipped and fell in bath tub. We finally heard her calling for help 2.5 hours later. Manager opened room and we assisted getting her up. Sad that she had been there for so long.

    Explore Austin

Cool, funky and fun: for a state capital, Austin is anything but staid. Famed as the “Live Music Capital of the World,” the city’s motto has long been “Keep Austin Weird.” Here you’ll find eclectic restaurants, clubbing districts, natural attractions and…oh yeah, a museum or two. Any night of the week you can hear live music at more than 100 local clubs. Sixth Street is known for a college crowd and hard-pounding bars, River Street hosts heavier metal and laid-back South Congress (SoCo) exudes a quirky, alternative vibe. The city fills with music industry folk and fans during March’s South by Southwest, the world’s largest music festival.

Everyone sleeps late, right? Nope – they’re up jogging or kayaking along Lady Bird Lake and swimming at Barton Springs – you can too. At sunset, a million bats provide a spectacle leaving their roost under the Congress Avenue Bridge. Museum lovers will appreciate the high-tech Bob Bullock State History Museum, the State Capitol and UT’s museums. Don’t miss the Hellcats at the roller derby.
