"A Great Economical Hotel w/ FREE Breakfast!"
I thought that this hotel was really great especially considering the price and complimentary breakfast. The breakfast area can get a little crowded (especially if you wait 'till the last hour) so it's advisable to go there earlier if possible. If you're looking for something basic yet clean that can satisfy your needs, this is the place. Would definitely return here for future visits to Bastrop. Tip: I was alerted that when booking here via Expedia, even if you specify "non-smoking" you'll be booked to any available room. I was told to call in to verify that I have the room I want.

"Near our destination and easy to get to"
Expedia booked me 2 rooms instead of the one I requested. Because I knew I would be arriving late, I confirmed reservation with credit card. Since I could not cancel the extre room when I arrived and found Expedia's mistake, I had to pay for 2 rooms! I will probably not use Expedia again

"Pet friendly advertised but pet charge anyway"
Room and service are fine. Included breakfast is great and filling if you aren't picky. Pet Friendly designation is misleading. I had to pay an additional $35 for my two well-kept Pomeranians (total weight: 19lbs.) for a one night stay.

"Very nice for the price"
Super 8 normally conjures up visions of a very low budget hotel/motel. But this establishment was just the opposite. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast buffet was the standard fare: eggs+ sausage or Biscuits+Gravy, make your own waffles, yogurt, pastries, toast, fruit, assorted cold cereal, oatmeal, etc. There was also a Starbucks expresso, latte, machiato, coffee machine. In the lobby, there is a small shop of food items for purchase. The only negative I experienced was in my room where there was a sticky stain from a spilled soda. I reported it on the way out for the day. It was cleaned up when I returned in the evening. I stayed for 5 nights.

"Nice, but definitely not a 4 or 5 star resort"
The resort grounds are very nice. There are a lot of activities for the kids to do that are free and some that require fees. We signed our son up for the archery/ tomahawk lesson and we were very disappointed. There was NOT a lesson, the instructor just laid the tomahawks out for my 8 year old to figure out , same went for the archery. So we basically paid $90. for nothing. The room was clean and spacious however the bed was extremely hard, the pillows were flat and the bedding was not that great, we had to have them bring up 4 more pillows and that still didn't help. The lazy river and pool are great for kids , the only negative was the amount of trash around the pool and spa. Beer cans and empty drink cups were everywhere.

"Nice and inexpensive Austin Hotel"
If your looking for an inexpensive hotel that is close to the capital then this is a good choice. It's a small hotel, but has everything one needs. The staff was friendly, the room was large with a mini fridge, coffee maker, desk and chair, and a comfy bed with nice sheets and duvet. The bathroom is smallish, but functional. All-in-all a nice place to stay. My only small complaint is they charge $5 for parking. It seems unnecessary for this area.

Bastrop is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Bastrop, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Bastrop hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
