We had 2x2 bedroom apartments. Good points: the $10 breakfast was great and the beds are firm and comfy. Things that could improve: more hooks or racks to hang towels would be good and more teabags. Things to be aware of: not enough lifts at peak times and pre-book a car park and don't take a high vehicle as the max height is about 2 meters

"Hotel Fantastic- Booking through Expedia Tragic "
The hotel experience was fabulous, the hotel itself I would so recommend, it is situated really well if you are going to shows, but is also a lovely walk down queen street to the Viaduct. The staff are fantastic, very welcoming and can not do enough for you. As far as experience with the booking, that was tragic, I used expedia and unfortunately after this experience will never use again. I had an original booking, plans changed so I rang up and added a day at the begining and took the last day off at the end, this was completed and i had my bookings. When I got to the hotel I was informed that yes, I had two bookings a new one for the earlier day, but the last day had not been taken off, so I was obliged the pay for this. This is were the fun began. The hotel did warn me that this happens and good luck getting it cancelled, even though it was not my fault !! I made 3 phone calls three days in a row, with the shortest call being 21 minutes, being told each time after explaining, that no they did not have a record of my first call (even though you are told all calls are recorded.) They put me on hold, said they had spoken to the hotel booking office, yes it was sorted and yes they will send an email, this on the 3 occasions did not happen. The morning of the last day I made a call and literrally had to please my case, finally something was done. I think this was very unprofessional. I still have not heard any feedback.

My first time in the Heritage Tower for some years. The room was a suite, large and comfortable, well appointed, with a desk. The downside of the Tower is the short walk to the other part of the hotel to get to the restaurant. It's nothing by day, but poorly lit by night, so it doesn't feel entirely safe. The restaurant is worth the walk - terrific staff, and a stylish but healthy menu. I'll be back.

Prakash, the Oaks Front Office Manager, could not have been more friendly and helpful during a difficult stay in Auckland. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely stay there again next time I visit Auckland

We flew in at 5:30 am and when we arrived at the hotel they put us in a room right away (due to a previous cancellation). The room was roomy with lots of good stuff and a view of the sunrise. The staff was very helpful especially David and Vineet at the concierage desk. Both had great ideas for us and Vineet really went out of his way to understand and accommodate our needs. The spa, pool, and workout area on the 10th floor were a great benefit that we took advantage of every day.
