Conveniently located to harbor, ferry, train and bus lines. Lots of unit space. Wonderful washer and dryer in each unit. TV choices are not the greatest. Complete kitchenette. Helpful staff. Free Wi-fi. A fairly well equipped apartment.

"CityLife is very conveniently located in Queens St"
Although very conveniently located in the CBD, I was slightly disappointed that having spoke to the hotel directly in reference to our booking the morning before our weekend stay 3-6 Feb 17, on arrival from the airport and checking, in the room was not configure to the booking requirement, which had been guaranteed via phone call. On entering our apartment and waiting for house keeping to arrive we founded that the floor was littered with large chocolate wrapper and other rubbish and the floor was only cleaned (vacuumed) in main areas and not completely throughout. The night club in the lane way outside our window was extremely loud and made sleeping very difficult. I would suggest you asked for a room not on the lane way side if staying. The rooms are dated and could do with a refresh. I give credit to the receptionist, who rectified the issues politely and effectively as the front of house are not to blame for failure of communication by hotel management. It suffice for our four day stay, although it will not be my first choice ever on any future trips to Auckland.

"Centrally located hotel for business or tourists"
We were traveling through Auckland and stayed only one night. However, the hotel provided everything and more to provide comfort after a long flight. Central Auckland sights were within easy walking distance. Staff was friendly and helpful.

"Great location"
Exceptional service from all staff we encountered. There is a lot of construction going on outside but the noise is minimal. We loved being just a short walk from the ferry and all the eateries around the harbour. Bed was very comfortable as were the robes and the toiletries were lovely. The only fault is that the toilet walls were pretty grubby in our room. Other than that, a lovely stay.

We booked a king bed superior room at a discounted price - the room was a decent size and clean but it, and the whole hotel, is definitely in need of a refresh. Fine for the price we paid but wouldn't be particularly impressed if it was much more.

"Very pleasantly surprised. New modern decor"
Very pleasantly surprised. The new owners have done a complete renovation. We stayed in unit 3 on the ground floor and enjoyed the new modern decor (nice change from old, tired, unloved, motels suffering from lack of maintenance). Very clean and tidy, large spacious room, very comfortable beds, large walk-in shower, modern kitchen and appliances, large wall mounted flat-screen TV, large in-room digital safe, strong wifi, easy parking, friendly staff. I would be happy to stay again.

"Wonderful hotel in town center"
Usually stay at another hotel in the city, but it was booked, so we wound up at this hotel. What a pleasant surprise. It was in a better location, had a wonderful restaurant and a specialty restaurant in the hotel. We tried to get reservations at another restaurant and couldn't so we ate at the hotel and I was glad we did, the Japanese restaurant there was spectacular. We will stay at this hotel next time we're in Auckland

Auckland is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Auckland, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Auckland hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
