We arrived a little earlier than official check-in, approx 12.30pm instead of 3pm, but as our room was ready we were allowed to check in, which was really appreciated. The lady at the reception counter was awesome & very engaging and made a nice first impression.
We had a little parking issue - the valet service was very expensive at $40 per day/24hr period so we had decided to self park, however there was then a bit of concern that our vehicle would be too high. We have a Mitsubishi Pajero. It did fit in the car park building in the end, but the parking height restriction at 2.1m is something that should be mentioned on the Expedia site so people are aware.
The room was beautifully furnished and the bed was very comfortable, with no roll together issues. We were on the 11th floor with our room looking towards the Skycity complex. We could just see a little of the sea above the neighbouring building. Request the 12th floor or higher if possible to get more of a view out over the area.
Our +VIP treat was delivered to our room not long after our arrival and was a bowl of the most delicious fresh large cherries and also a bottle of sparking water in an ice-bucket. Later that night when we came back to the room after being out we also found chocolates on the pillow. A nice little touch.
There was a little bit of a wait at 11am check out time, but again a very smooth interaction with the staff.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would love to return!

We stayed here for 2 nights after our long flight from the UK. The staff were very pleasant and allowed us early book in free of charge which was most welcome as we were beyond exhausted. Although this is not the hotel's fault, the street noise from night clubbers kept us awake most of the night so would definitely recommend earplugs!

Well situated in city centre and clean. Rather noisy on toad junction and with popular bar. No air con. Decor a little tired and dated. Breakfast quite well priced. Check in a bit disorganised with only one key for two people but sorted later. Other staff helpful.
