"Comfortable, Economical, and WOW what a King Bed."
Rupert was very helpful when we arrived early from the USA @ 8 am. He directed us to a comfortable waiting area and we were allowed to check in around 10 am. We fell on the bed and felt relieved to have a safe zone. Valet parking is provided for a fee but is a must as I was told car insurance is not mandatory in NZ. You must get insurance, accidents happen.
Whenever we had difficulty with the safe or TV ( For DVDs) someone came straight away.
We had a one bedroom apartment and it suited us fine. We certainly didn't go to NZ to stay inside.
We were centrally located and had a blast.
Thanks Quadrant for making our stay very comfortable.

The hotel is easy to find, central location, near the main street, restaurants, theatres, art gallery museum and walking distance to the wharf.
The staff and reception were friendly and helpful. The concierge managed to bring our heavy luggages to our room and didn't expect any tips. But we tipped.
The pool area is not deep and warm, guest with children had a great time at the pool since it was raining and cold outside. The gym and sauna were nice too.
The rooms were of good space and clean, king bed and comfy. The bathrooms were roomy as well, wonderful hot water.

The Novotel in Cathedral Square is a lovely modern hotel with upmarket décor in reception and the bar/restaurant. Check in was easy but there is no free parking. The room was lovely, clean and spacious.

Made reservations on Expedia. I 'm also a Hilton Honors member. The hotel did not recognize that I was a honors member. I realized I would not get any points for staying at this hotel since it was booked by Expedia but they could have still treated me as a Honors member as do all they other hotels that I have stayed at under the Hilton name. Parking was difficult, hotel was difficult to find as was the check in area. Disappointed in this hotel.

"close to the Lake, also short walk to city centre."
The hotel had a very nice lobby, clean and modern look to it. The room was more than adequate for a family of four given a king size bed and a double sofa. The king size bed was so comfortable. Great view of the lake from the window. The breakfast on level 6 was amazing. Great view, great selection of food. great service from the waitress.
