The room was very clean quiet and spacious with an amazing view. I was very pleased with the hotel and the stuff. The only issue I had was with the breakfast buffet. The quality of the food and drinks is too low for a four star hotel. It seemed to me that they want to save cost on the breakfast which doesn't seem like a good idea.

Where can I start! As when I walked to the reception desk on my arrival the reception staff welcomed me with such a warm smile and that really made me feel comfortable as I was on holiday by myself. One day, on my way out I saw that Ms Bogi, who is in charge at the reception desk, was dealing with a difficult costumer but Ms Bogi solved the problem very professionally and the costumer walked away happy, I find her to be very professional at her job and so are the rest of the staff. When I return to Budapest, I will stay at the Residence Baron Hotel again, it was a nice experience staying in this hotel, because everyone was so helpful and charming.

After staying in another 5-star previous to my stay at the Gresham Palace, I must say I was slightly disappointed.
Don't get me wrong-it's tough to find a fault with this hotel...however when you're this good you cannot rest on your laurels.
The restaurant for breakfast was average and service was rushed and sloppy for this level of hotel.
Check in experience was not cool-I had bought this trip for my boyfriend's 60th and our bellman tried to up-sell us into another room which was to die for! However the very steep additional cost made it prohibitive for me and then when we ultimately were shown to our room ( I'd chosen deluxe by the way) it paled by comparison and instead of the wow I'd imagined for his birthday surprise-it was a sheer let down. I almost broke into tears at the disappointment. Again, don't get me wrong-our room was lovely, despite the fact there was literally no view-it was luxurious and comfortable but the bellman should not have done that. It set the tone for the rest of our stay.

Excellent location, for $100 we got a room with a nice view of the Basilica. The staff are friendly and helpful. Overall clean and fresh. Breakfasts are pretty good, you get scrambled eggs and sausages, cheese and ham, yogurt, pastry and juices.

The Hotel President is a lovely hotel situated very conveniently in the heart of Budapest, on a quiet street just a few hundred meters from the Basilica. In the evenings the hotel opens its roof terrace offering a spectacular view of the city. I'll definitely return next time I'm in Budapest.

On the eastern side of the Danube, Pest is Buda’s flatter, edgier cousin. Tree-lined Andrassy Avenue was originally designed as Budapest’s answer to the Champs-Elysees. Heroes’ Square lies at the eastern end of Andrassy Avenue and is home to the impressive Millennium Monument. Hungarian gifts, food, and souvenirs can be found in Pest’s multi-storey Great Market Hall, the largest in Budapest.
