Very nice rooms. Dining room was great - staff very professional. Only disappointment was that it only had a buffet breakfast and there was no where close to get anything else. Location is not great.

"Best Hotel in Europe"
Review is written by an admitted hotel snob. This hotel is the best overall hotel I've seen in Europe. Architecture phenomenal, classic interior design, immaculate, well trained friendly staff, great food, and best location in Budapest. Frankly, the cost to quality ratio was also reasonable compared to many overpriced marginal hotels in big European cities.

"Comfortable Hotel - Walking Distance to Everything"
Very nice front desk hotel staff. Friendly, helped with booking excursions, airport transfers, giving directions to locations, wakeup calls and general knowledge about the area. The cleaning people asked every day what I wanted done with my room and were also very accommodating. The only downside was the breakfast room. The add-on fee was costly and most of the food was what I considered luncheon, not breakfast. So, for $12.00 I would have a cup of coffee, a small container of yogurt and four tablespoons of cereal. One day, I took a piece of bread and four slices of cheese to have in my room later in the day. I was publicly confronted by a woman who watches everyone like a hawk. She accused me of stealing food which was very embarrassing. I explained to her that I have medical problems and can only eat small amounts of food at any given time. When I left the room, she took time to show me a large sign saying you cannot take food out of the breakfast room. From that day on, I felt very uncomfortable every morning at breakfast. The situation could have been handled more discretely. I could have pointed out fifteen people who had not only eaten a four course breakfast but also taken other food items to snack on later in the day, but did not want them to have the same experience I had. The next morning, I put food on my tray and asked her if that was too much to eat. She said, "no, you should eat more". Half of the food on the tray was eaten later in the day.

"Great location Great room"
We switched at the last minute to this hotel from another hotel and so glad we did. We did not expect the room to have a kitchenette and living area so that was a wonderful surprise. The free breakfast was good, they also had free sangria and snacks during the day and evening which was a nice surprise as well. The host was very friendly and helpful. The location was amazing, just behind the Opera house with lots of places to eat and shop and the grocery store (SPAR) was a 7 minute walk from the hotel. The room decor was very updated, the lofted bedroom was very nice with a TV (with CNN even).

Cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was reasonably sized, and was always cleaned well. Extras were issued without any fuss upon request from the front desk. Spa facilities are very good- would definitely recommend the steam room! Only had the breakfast buffet one day (it's €20 if you request in advance) but it was well worth it- staff were very attentive etc, just as they were in the hotel bar also. Location is good too, right in the centre- about 3/4 mins walk to the metro (Ferrenick Ter) and 10/20 mins walk from sightseeing spots etc.

"Small, comfortable,friendly hotel,great location."
Had a lovely 3 night stay in Budapest. Weather helped, bought 48 hour transport pass but didn't really need it as everything so near each other, so if you like walking don't buy. Had walking tour of both sides, which were informative, good food and bars

Budapest is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Budapest, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Budapest hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
