This hotel has a more than convenient location. It is literally right across the street from pier 39. While the hotel has some signs of age, it is apparent that they keep up a good clean and somewhat modern appearance. I especially recommend this hotel for anyone traveling with children as there is a cool game room with a pool table, ping pong, shuffle board and other non video games. Unfortunately there is no swimming pool or bar. The staff is friendly and helpful.

"perfect location , fabulous building, great rooms"
absolutely the perfect location for stay in S.F. just cant be beat. Also fabulous view in a wonderful, historical site. Within steps of beach, wharf, and close to china town and downtown. Wonderful views of from rooms and decks of both bridges. Decks with fireplaces outside were just wonderful. Shopping & dining just steps away. I mean, like staying in a chocolate factory! wow! And do go to Gary Danko's for dinner. Great value for a family as you have a 2-3 br, fireplaces, full kitchen, all top amenities! .

This is a fantastic hotel for very little money. It is in a great location with many shops and restaurants nearby, but not too noisy. The staff are fantastic. Very polite and accomodating.
Even provide juice and coffee for free in the morning.
