We come to the city a few times a year to enjoy music shows, hikes, and city life. This was our first time at the Zephyr, and we had a blast with our 15 year old twins! We played darts in the bedroom, ping pong outdoors, and in the game room. We also enjoyed s’mores after walking to a casual dinner at Wipeout on Pier 39.
In the morning, there was no hot water for showers, but the front desk comped our resort fee. We walked to Peet’s coffee in the Boudin bakery and the cable car station on Hyde & Beach. We took the cable car to Nob Hill, where we enjoyed Grace Cathedral and the Fairmont Hotel’s art gallery and famous life-size gingerbread house. We’d hoped to eat dim sum in Chinatown, but ran out of time before we had to move our car by 3pm. Instead, we enjoyed a tasty paloma and margarita with shrimp tacos at Barrio in the November sunshine and splurged on Ghirardelli chocolate. Although we only had one brief night, it was a great time and will be back again!
