My wife and I have saved this property now a few times and continue to return. We love it proximity to so many things we do there in San Francisco. We also enjoy the hotel itself. As a great bar, great staff and is just a nice hotel.

Review: 0 Stars – Extremely Disappointed I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The day before I checked out, I went to my car to grab something and it was in perfect condition. The next day, there was clear and noticeable damage. I immediately questioned how close the other vehicles were being parked—something I had already brought up multiple times with staff. I had voiced my concerns repeatedly about how tightly cars were being packed in, and despite that, my concerns were dismissed and now my car has been damaged. What’s worse is the overall condition of the hotel. The room was incredibly run-down, with paint literally peeling and hanging from the bathroom ceiling. While the location is convenient and the Tonga Room is a nice touch, it doesn’t make up for the complete lack of care and maintenance. Between the poor management of the parking situation and the condition of the rooms, I absolutely would not recommend this hotel to friends, family, or anyone looking for a stress-free stay. Hugely disappointing experience.

Knob hill is the place to get the true San Francisco experience. Easy walk down hill to everywhere and come back up in cable car. Hotel is excellent and neighborhood is quiet.
