Luna Liquida is a gorgeous boutique hotel, that feels more like your home than a hotel. Everywhere is covered in colour and art. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is simple but nice and they will bring it to you in bed.
The views are truly spectacular and better than anywhere else we have visited in Puerto Vallarta.
Our only downside was that it is very high up the hill so it is best to take a taxi up at night time unless you have lots of energy!

The hotel was on a hill overlooking the bay. You could watch Cruise ships come in and out. There were also a quite a few fishing boats and private vessels. The pool was excellent and a short walk or taxi(50 pesos) to the water.(3$US)The town was within a few blocks with its shops and restaurants. Night life was 4 blocks away with many bars and music at night. Would have been perfect with curtains and a fan.

The hotel is comprised of three buildings. The main building is more for the longer stay guests of which is typically booked at least 1 year earlier. The other buildings which are just a cross the street are spacious (we had a suite) but don't know about the non suite rooms. The main hotel has a small pool and rooftop dining at the LaTraviata restaurant. Loved it there! Germann is the bartender and is excellent at his job. Highly recommend drinking and eating there even if you don't stay at the hotel. The hotel is in need of updating however, the people who return each year still return regardless of needed updates. Additionally, intricate details are overlooked such as black mold in the shower. The hotel is quite reasonably priced and many hotel guests are very nice. It's a comfortable place to stay and I may stay again. Worthy of booking.

Downtown’s cobblestone streets lead to historic landmarks, such as La Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. A crown tops this church’s bell tower, a lasting reminder of the short-lived Mexican monarchy. By the water, Triton dons a sombrero atop a seahorse. Downtown is also known for art galleries, Museo Arqueológico, and Casa Kimberly, once a love nest for Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.
