"Great location on the beach"
Great hotel on the beach of Holbox. For those who have heard or read about a insect problem, it is NOT true. Great, remote island.

"Beautiful hotel on gorgeous beach. "
Love this spot and can't wait to return. The staff was friendly. Service in the bar was a bit slow but the food was delicious and it's a beautiful location. The grounds of the property are very well maintained

"Just steps from the beach..."
The staff at Casa Blat'ha (especially Daniella!) were friendly and so helpful. Breakfast was great - homemade breads and jams, coffee, tea and juice included, and delicious items for purchase (our favorite was the omelette with chile oil). The plumbing in the beachside building was not so great, but the trade-off to staying in this building was listening to the waves at night. Rooms in the main building (plumbing included) are apparently better. 15 minute beach walk to town under the full moon - magical!

"Cheap but adequate"
The hotel is small but right in the middle of town. Definitely a bare bones place but if all you need is a bed and a base to explore from this hotel will do the trick. The beds were firm and the sheets thinner. There was no blanket provided with the room. There was a small closet and a wall mounted tv also. The washroom was outdated but the shower had water pressure and hot water. Each of the rooms on the lower floors has its own furnished patio which was nice. The wifi signal doesn't reach all the rooms so you may have to move closer to the office to get connected.

"Family vacation went very well"
We stayed in Villas Tiburon in November 2016, we were there for 3 days and I must say that we really liked this hotel. Like the other comments, it does not have a restaurant, there is a restaurant at the front of the hotel that it looks like they have an agreement with the hotel and you can eat there, but we did not, we only purchased a couple of beers but that was it. As far as the hotel, we got there late in the afternoon, we checked in very easily, we headed to our room in the second floor and it was very clean, and spacious, it did not have a direct view to the beach but we did not mind. The beds were clean, they had a tv, a fridge and an air conditioning too. The room had a balcony which was nice. The staff was great and friendly The beach was great, a little windy, but no waves, my kids loved it, we ran up and down the beach and the water below your knees. The hotel has a couple of hamacas at the beach for the use of the guests and it was great to take some pictures. For food, we went to the town the first evening, got some cookies, bread, fruit some water and some milk to use for breakfast in the morning. In the midafternoon, we went back to the town to eat and came back to the beach, then later at night we would go back to the town for dinner. We rented a golf cart, a little expensive for the two days we were there but worth it. I highly recommend this hotel

"Quiet retreat on the beach, but rustic"
Pros: Right on beach. On far west end of beach, so less through traffic.Very quiet at night. Good lighting in bungalow. Cute clean bungalow. Beds and maid service are good. Few bugs get inside. Beautiful, well tended common area with hammocks. Beach is calm, clean (not all are), and amazing. Beach bar on your doorstep (if you want to meet others not staying at hotel). Gathering place to watch sunset for a crowd every evening. Cons: I was not given the room I booked and paid for through Expedia. I booked the larger beachside bungalow. It was occupied when I arrived by a larger party. They put us in the smaller bungalow set back from the beach. They offered no apology, explanation, or compensation. They said since I booked through Expedia there was nothing they could do. Accomodation was fine, but I paid a premium for it. Rooms here are a bit expensive for what you get. There are no restaurant services. No vending machines. Not even a morning coffee to roll you out onto the beach. Nearest restaurant one block away for breakfast. No hot water either. Not enough beach chair cushions to go around. Minor stuff, but I expect these things for the price. Beach gets crowded late afternoon with others not staying there but using beach bar. It is a popular and lively bar, which is not really a con. Summary: This place has a niche in the middle. Better and quieter than staying in town, but not nearly as plush and appointed as Hotel Mawimbi or Casa de lasTortugas on eastern end of beach

Isla Holbox is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Isla Holbox, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Isla Holbox hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
