I had an amazing time staying at the Waldorf - however it was abit frustrating communicating with the hotel stuff - being told different things and by different staff - one of which wasn't very pleasing - but all other staff were amazing,

The hotel is easy to find, central location, near the main street, restaurants, theatres, art gallery museum and walking distance to the wharf.
The staff and reception were friendly and helpful. The concierge managed to bring our heavy luggages to our room and didn't expect any tips. But we tipped.
The pool area is not deep and warm, guest with children had a great time at the pool since it was raining and cold outside. The gym and sauna were nice too.
The rooms were of good space and clean, king bed and comfy. The bathrooms were roomy as well, wonderful hot water.

Central city location, great roomy space, full kitchenette (no microwave but oven/hobb). A bit noisy between floors/retro. Staff super friendly. Rooms cleaned and serviced daily. Excellent restaurant with high quality food.

The Scenic Auckland is an amazing hotel. I had major issues with a previous hotel I checked into, and when I changed my reservation to The Scenic Auckland I was much much happier. The desk staff and cleaners were extremely nice and helpful. The room was just the perfect size for one person and the bed was amazingly comfortable. The location is perfect for anyone looking to stay downtown since it's across the street from Aotea Square and Town Hall, and just minutes walking up to Sky Tower. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Auckland. I will definitely be back!

We spent a couple of nights there. Road works were there at the time which was anonying we going in and out. Other than that we were satified with our stay. Spent most of the time out. Everything walking distance. Staff are very helpful and kind. Other than the young valet, we were waiting at least 5 mins waiting for him to finish his personal conversation with a lady before he served us...Not good, but was nice.
