"We picked the Lonsdale is was the Cheapest"
Unless you are visiting North Vancouver, it's a costly place to stay, we got off the SkyTrain. a great service, it dropped us at the wharf close to the Hotel. We could not find it with directions they had given us. We went around the nearby buildings a local resident took us to the door. there's no signs on the wharf side that the second floor of the Lonsdale market is the Lonsdale Hotel. Poor visibility, all was very good, a good place to stay, with the Market Place downstairs, but unless you do business in North Vancouver, it is not too handy to visit Vancouver if you're relying on public transportation, you need to take the ferry across the Bay and then the Sky Train to downtown Vancouver one way ticket cost us $!4. great service but expensive if we had stayed downdown instead.

"Very pleasant stay"
I had a deluxe preferred view king sized room. The view was not the greatest, it was of neighbouring buildings mostly. The room was clean, the linens were clean and soft, the bed was so comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the bathroom amenities were very nice, L'occitane. The pool area looked amazing and the change rooms were very nicely equipped, but I didn't use the facilities. The in room dining service was fantastic, and the food was so-so. Very expensive for what you got. I typically ordered eggs, toast and coffee and received two eggs with toast, three roasted potatoes and 2 roasted cherry tomatoes, a 3 pot carafe of coffee, glass of water, preserves, ketchup, butter, cream and sugar and it was just over $30. The only place to eat (other than the bed) received direct cold air from the fan in the room so my eggs were always cold by the time I buttered my toast and poured my coffee. I did have a burger one night and it was fine. It was a typical burger and fries. I went out and purchased water at 7 Eleven, and then found that they provide free bottles at the nightly turndown service. Do not buy the $8 Evian water in your room. Waste of money! The festival of trees was set up so it was a very festive atmosphere. I waited in YEW for some friends, although I didn't eat or drink while I waited, it was a great atmosphere. Both staff during my check in and check out process were friendly and pleasant as was the porter when I left.

"One of the best luxury hotels world-wide"
My first reaction upon opening the door was "this room is fantastic”. My final impression upon departure was “what a gorgeous stay”. Four nights - marvelous corner suite - five windows with beautiful downtown skyline views. Luxurious deep soaking tub. 5’ X 5’ walk-in shower with raindrop shower head. One of the best restaurants in Vancouver. Amazing spa experience. Friendly staff - everyone - greeting - smiling - helpful. Extraordinary effort to: flag down taxis, bring coffee; provide shopping tips, traffic directions, and weather suggestions. Perfect location. Across the street from Pacific Mall and the Art Museum - and walking distance to everything downtown. Just four blocks to the Boardwalk and Civic Center on the waterfront. I stay in luxury hotels world-wide. This is one of the best! 5.0 out of 5.0 Overall 5.0 out of 5.0 Room Cleanliness 5.0 out of 5.0 Service and Staff 5.0 out of 5.0 Room and Comfort 5.0 out of 5.0 Hotel Condition Recommend to all.

    Explore Vancouver

Gorgeous, successful, cultured and outdoorsy, Vancouver is clearly a catch. Its sparkling waterfront is strung with beaches while the snow-capped North Shore Mountains dominate the landscape, promising world-class skiing, hiking and mountain biking just 15 minutes away. Downtown Stanley Park offers 1000 acres of trails, beaches and kids’ attractions.

Historic Gastown, with its Edwardian buildings and cobbled streets, draws time travelers to its art studios and antique shops. Once industrial Yaletown is now loft-central, packed with upscale shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Find serenity in the midst of bustling Chinatown at the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden. Take the ferry to Granville Island, home to the Granville Public Market and its cornucopia of fresh fish, produce and food stands.

Yes, there are indoor attractions, like the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Museum of Anthropology and the Vancouver Aquarium. But Vancouver’s biggest thrills are found outdoors. Sway 230 feet above a lush canyon on the Capilano Suspension Bridge, or ride the Skyride up Grouse Mountain for a breathtaking view from 4,100 feet. Whee!
