"Great location to downtown."
Very nice hotel. Just stayed the one night. Walking distance to shopping, 5 min taxi to rogers arena about a 15 min walk back to the hotel. Beautiful View!! Room was nice but a few dust bunnies in the corners and looked a little dated. Lobby was fancy. Hear good things about the three restaurants but didn't get to try them because of time.

"We picked the Lonsdale is was the Cheapest"
Unless you are visiting North Vancouver, it's a costly place to stay, we got off the SkyTrain. a great service, it dropped us at the wharf close to the Hotel. We could not find it with directions they had given us. We went around the nearby buildings a local resident took us to the door. there's no signs on the wharf side that the second floor of the Lonsdale market is the Lonsdale Hotel. Poor visibility, all was very good, a good place to stay, with the Market Place downstairs, but unless you do business in North Vancouver, it is not too handy to visit Vancouver if you're relying on public transportation, you need to take the ferry across the Bay and then the Sky Train to downtown Vancouver one way ticket cost us $!4. great service but expensive if we had stayed downdown instead.

"NOT what I expected."
I expected a normal hotel, maybe a little lower class based on pricing. What I GOT was an absolutely perfect one room, fully furnished, condo style apartment! This place had EVERYTHING you could want and more than I needed for my weekend get-away in Vancouver.

"Very nice hotel"
We travel to Vancouver once or twice a year and have always wanted to stay here, so this past Thanksgiving we did. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room quiet and comfortable. I used the fitness facility which was also clean and in good shape, which isn't always the case even at the snaziest hotels. The only thing I have to say I didn't like was the lack of free wi-fi; I realize it seems like a silly thing to focus on, but with other hotels in Vancouver that are certainly comparable (in both price and accomodation) to The Sutton Place that do offer free wi-fi as amenity it would factor into my decision re: whether or not to stay here again.

Wonderful, relaxing stay at L'Hermitage! Room was large, quiet and well appointed! Gas fireplace added to ambiance. Staff were friendly and most helpful. They make you feel very special! Beautiful breakfast room and lounge. Hotel is within walking distance to Gastown and Yaletown, all the sights in between and the water taxi to Granville Island. Definitely recommend!

    Explore Vancouver

Gorgeous, successful, cultured and outdoorsy, Vancouver is clearly a catch. Its sparkling waterfront is strung with beaches while the snow-capped North Shore Mountains dominate the landscape, promising world-class skiing, hiking and mountain biking just 15 minutes away. Downtown Stanley Park offers 1000 acres of trails, beaches and kids’ attractions.

Historic Gastown, with its Edwardian buildings and cobbled streets, draws time travelers to its art studios and antique shops. Once industrial Yaletown is now loft-central, packed with upscale shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Find serenity in the midst of bustling Chinatown at the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden. Take the ferry to Granville Island, home to the Granville Public Market and its cornucopia of fresh fish, produce and food stands.

Yes, there are indoor attractions, like the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Museum of Anthropology and the Vancouver Aquarium. But Vancouver’s biggest thrills are found outdoors. Sway 230 feet above a lush canyon on the Capilano Suspension Bridge, or ride the Skyride up Grouse Mountain for a breathtaking view from 4,100 feet. Whee!
