Overall our stay was fine, but when we booked it said parking available but when we checked in they said it was limited parking and first come first serve only. We had to park across the street in the parkade instead and had I know this would be the case I wouldn’t have booked. The second night we asked if parking had become available and while there was a spot they were going to charge us an additional $30-$35 per night of parking in order to park at the hotel which was actually more expensive than parking across the road for the whole day. When we arrived we went to shower only to find the shampoo bottle completely empty. This may be a minor thing but when I get to a hotel I kind of expect things to be ready and refreshed from the last person…. Beds were pretty hard, felt like sleeping on a slightly softened brick lol. Overall it was okay I guess, but if you’re expecting parking, comfort, or any sort of breakfast at the hotel with no additional cost you should probably try booking somewhere else.

Excellent value for the price especially the free parking perk (for Expedia VIP I believe) is tremendous for the area! The Burrard is an older/vintage but well-refurbished hotel with tasteful remodel and interior design. It is not exactly gutted to the studs so remnants of the wear and tear from its past is pretty evident all around. However, everything worked well -- there is a small elevator and free evening drinks were a nice touch! And walkable to dining options!

3 night stay. Staff nice, hotel is really cute, location is an easy walk to lots of restaurants, shops and venues. Directly across from the front door of St. Paul's Hospital if you are in town for medical. Alley noise at 6am one morning, for hours, related to construction project next door. It sounded like they were removing construction garbage. Sidewalk on Burrard impeded on that side too. Loud ambulances 2 to 4 times a night. I resorted to soft nature sounds on noise canceling headphones in bed and put on the fan for white noise. I startle awake easily though. Card key didn't work but dude came up and let me in with his fob and went back down and got a me a new card. (I had a lot of luggage). Floor of room was not clean - but everything else was other had a few dog hairs on it like someone wiped it down with an already dirty cloth - I know of what I speak! As for the floor, I tracked fluff and hair into my bed sheets by walking on it in my bare feet. (Shortly after arrival - not my hair, lint, etc. Nice cork floor warm and soft and no carpets - good! Not much space, 14' x 12' room wall to wall, and 6.5' x 12' closet and bathroom area. Bed, 3 tables, chair, fan apparatus and long desk made it very crowded. Gorgeous interior courtyard. I paid too much for what this was, but liked it for its character, location and friendliness.

The staff are so great. I really appreciate them being so accommodating and the evening drinks (non-alcoholic) in the lobby from 7-9pm are a nice touch. I love the quirky artwork and funny notes and signs around the property. Can’t wait to try another room to see its picture art. The retro look and feel is very nice with a central sitting area by the fire in the center courtyard/garden. I love its unique style and humour… keep that stuff up please! I will definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed my two night stay. Great location for travel on foot, they have great compliments for your stay. It was the perfect room for a solo traveller! I would very much love to come back in the near future. :) Great customer service also makes a huge difference! The only thing is that you should call the motel to confirm anything from Expedia. When I did book, they didn't have the Continental that it said on the posting. That is the only negative feedback I have. :)

Cool retro vibe! Friendly front desk staff, comfortable bed, & well-located. On the down side, found it a bit hot so we opened a window and the sound insulation isn't the best but it is an old building so it's to be expected. Would stay again!

Very relaxed, clean hotel centrally located and close to many VC activities, like ice skating rink, Granville island, Gastown. The staff were so kind and we loved the free book swap library. Also we were very grateful for the free parking until 4pm the day of checkout perk.

Good location, clean, kind staffs, everything was excellent. Will definitely stay again! Only one downside was no ventilation at the washroom. We could open the window but not very ideal for privacy.
